i have suround sound system
tv in one corner, wife sat in the other very annoyingWhich do you think you will exchange for a new one first? ;)
Here you go then.
It depends on what you are trying to achieve. Modern HD TVs these days already come with a multitude of inputs and outputs of all descriptions. If you intend to use your TV as the hub for all your devices then you will need plenty of inputs. However, if you intend to use a stand-alone surround sound processor then you would connect everything – blu-ray, Sky box, games consoles, computer, etc. – into that. You would then connect the processor to your TV using just the one HDMI input.
I use a variation on this and connect my Sky box directly to the TV via HDMI rather than go through the processor. This allows me to listen to Latics away matches on WISH via the radio in my processor whilst following the updates of all the other matches on Sky Sports.
All by remote of course so I don’t need to interrupt my attempts to impersonate a beached whale from my vantage point on the sofa.
Oh, and here’s me thinking you might be sudworth!
Oh goody. It looks like I’ll get to meet both sudworth and John Doe at Spurs.
OK. We can arrange it nearer the time then.
Let me know if you are because I’d like to say hello.
I’ll ask the question again: Are you going to Spurs?
Are you going to Spurs then sudworth? If so will you be on your own or with your wife and kids?
come on lads keep this board football related please lolI’d tread carefully. You do know GL has the power to render you silent.
I think this site has a more light hearted humorous side to it the majority of time. I find that serious football analysis can be quite tedious at times and so some good old fashioned ribbing and lads bravado is a nice change. Granted there are a few knobs and some might think me as one but I am on the whole light hearted and do like a laugh, it’s just my nature !Hear, hear, but everyone has a breaking point!
You have no idea why I can’t go. And I’m not going to share it with you.But how dare you say I am not a proper supporter.
Are you getting annoyed with sudworth GL even though it’s fairly obvious he’s a multi, wind-up type person?
I think you’re missing the point here regarding Kirland’s reactions. The fact that he wasn’t expecting to be pushed in face had more of an impact than the actual impact, so to speak. It was the shock of what happened that caused him to “drop like a ton of bricks” rather than the physical contact.
He DID go down a bit mad though, Sammy. Ok, he was shocked and surprised, but most keepers would’ve stayed on their feet and probably swung a punch at him or grabbed him. There was a big size difference, with Kirkland much the bigger.
Of course, if he had done, he would’ve been loudly condemned by the powers that be, and probably given a red card and a fine.[/quote]
But you don’t know what most keepers would have done though do you? I suggest they would have done exactly the same as Kirkland for the reasons I’ve mentioned.I think you’re missing the point here regarding Kirland’s reactions. Don’t connect your blu-ray player to your system using separate leads. If you use an HDMI lead directly to the TV but a separate audio lead to your surround sound processor amp you will get a delay.
If your surround sound processor is relatively new it should have both HDMI inputs and outputs. If so, then connect the blu-ray directly to the processor using an HDMI lead and then from the processor to the TV also using an HDMI lead.If your blu-ray player or processor has an audio delay function I am surprised you can’t correct the problem using that. However, if you connect it in the way I’ve suggested there will be no need to use this feature; the video and audio will be syncronised automatically.
It’s a bit scary to be stalked by someone who calls themselves Papa Lazarou.
