I was going to turn my artistic genius to another masterpiece last night, but couldn’t think of any other scenario that could be created using mostly different sized circles, and would take under five minutes to do.Has a hot balloon ever landed on the pitch, or has there ever been a snowman built on the centre circle? I’m quite good at snowmen and hot air balloons.
What impressed me was that when Paraguay were pressing, and the other backs were going forward too, he held his position well, sometimes even moving back to provide that cover against breaks.
I think sometimes we have been left open from our backs pushing too far forward and forgetting their primary role – to defend.
I thought he looked fine.
Hard to judge in one game though.
