”Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that”
Said the great Bill Shankley nearly 50 years ago.
Said as a joke, of course
Wow you not read my post properly? We will already be champions and have the trophy by the time we play Doncaster, so the game will be a mere friendly. We may well be promoted, but I think you’re being disrespectful to Blackburn to think we’ll already have the trophy tucked away in the trophy cabinet well before the Doncaster game.
The idea that someone could possibly get 97 points and not get promoted!!
Should be down to ten men tonight. Awful refereeing! They now are :D
Suspension ahead tooEgg stressed for 1/2 an hour this morning trying email and phone saying non available then bang no problem I should of just waited for the game on Saturday.
Small queue at ticket office.
Got them no problem.
And if your working ?, not everyone’s off or on the dole
no, true.
But there were people there with large shopping lists.
But I suppose you need to have friends who would do that for you. ;)Egg stressed for 1/2 an hour this morning trying email and phone saying non available then bang no problem I should of just waited for the game on Saturday.Small queue at ticket office.
Got them no problem. How do we know 1100 tickets were snapped up by day trippers having their first away day?Precisely.
I suspect that all have been sold to people who have been to games regularly.
Be grateful we have sold them easily, will have a vociferous following, and hopefully will bring home the points.
And no – I haven’t got a ticket.“Our schooligans are embarrassing , vandalising the toilets at Blackburn and clashing with stewards. Clashing with stewards at Rotherham , throwing stuff tonight . They appear to be led by one chubby bloke in a stone island jacket, not all of them are playing with a full deck”
“Those ” schooligans ” want banning from the ground their behaviour was disgusting tonight and there is no place for them at RAFC as far as Iam concerned. One of the the items that was thrown and hit the ref was one of the drummers sticks. Thankfully, that hopefully means that is the end of the drum that gets banged aimlessly by some moron kid every home game.
If any of you read this thread you are not wanted at Spotland.”“The club have to pay for the Police inside the ground.
Presumably it was decided this was a low risk game and police weren’t needed.
From my understanding the Police would have had to ok this.
If we had proactive stewards like at most clubs they would have dealt with the tvats and removed them.
I would imagine the fact that the Police were called in would cost the club and also put a blackmark against us.
Because of tonight’s incidents the Police will be well in their rights to insist on Police in the ground every match which will incur more costs to the club…”And so on ….
I feel sorry for the real fans.If you read on Dale’s message boards the real fans are embarrassed by and angry at them.
As you say, the extra stewarding costs have to be paid for, and for a club on a shoestring that is not good.God knows how the Fleetwood tickets will be allocated. Got to be for season ticket holders with a demonstrable record of travelling this season who get first dabs.Details are here

Every club has glory huntersI’ve mentioned before that I was born and raised in Liverpool, grew up a Red, moved to Wigan and started to watch my local team and turned my back on Liverpool just at the time when they started to win everything in sight.
Not sure what that makes me?
Certainly not a glory hunter! :D :D :DI remember them struggling to get 20k at Maine Road. Not quite
Have the wheels now fallen off the Shrews wagon?
Will losing this, and finding themselves behind us and Rovers now give them the wobble we want them to have?Yep.
MK Dons, who are fighting against relegation clearly wanted no points and a worsening of their goal difference by four goals, just so we could get one over on Blackburn.
As you say, they are deluded.Shouldn’t really be worrying about other teams fixtures, all our remaining games are winnable, it’s up to us to do it, it’s in our own hands. Was just going to say that.
Win them, and we’re champions. It’s completely in our own hands. Other fixtures are only relevant if we mess it up. -
