There are two types of football fans in this country, the first type support their local club whether their club is Middlesboro or Chorley FC, they tend go to the game, like to visit new grounds when they get the chance, money permitting and generally just like to watch football regardless of the standard,

The second type choose a fashionable club, hardly ever go to watch their chosen team, nearest they get to the match day experience is watching their fashionable big club in the pub. they tend to be loud and obnoxious and they have zero interest in anything outside the premiership and generally are f**king clueless about everything.

Unfortunately Sky tend to cater for the second type of fan.

Was that not just you being Paranoid?

No he defiantly had a wig on but he also looked a bit of an iron man so thought I’d let him off.

There was a reet clown shouting his gob off in wetherspoons after the game, couldn’t stop whinging about our support and the team, I was going to put him in his place then realised he was wearing a wig, after that I couldn’t take him seriously.

Difficult game to watch first half, Blackburn were very physical, lots of pushing in the backs and a ref choosing not to see it. Second half play them at their own game and full credit to Vanghany Knocked himself about causing their defence no end of problems.

Not quite the massive queues that there were for City????

Probably got something to do with the sub zero temperatures Lincs.

I suspect Blackburn would love to call the game off and face us when we are having to play 2 games each week but Burnley managed to play today and it’s only getting warmer.

Only going to be one winner tomorrow and it’s not them, Latics 2nil

Winning the cup as a league one side is what dreams are made of, and I do like to dream so it’s the cup for me.

A tremendous night for all Latics fans, prior to last night I had the quarter final win at City in 2014 the greatest cup win we have ever had, we were second tier at the time, at their place and they were going to give us a footballing lesson in revenge for our cup final win.

Last night puts the 2014 game into the shade we are third tier and lets not make any bones about it, this City team are probably the best football team in the world at the moment and little Wigan beat them.

OK they had loads of possession but that was are game plan let them have the ball out wide and stop them playing throw the middle.

A game we will be talking about for decades and quite rightly so.

    Brilliant little Wigan.

I really don’t understand the Whelan bashing.

Me neither, is it because they used to work for him, because he’s a Tory or is it just down to plain old jealously.

What ever it is, the fact is nobody has done more for Wigan Athletic than DW, we’ll miss him when he’s gone.
