And a very enviable record there too!

in reply to: how about this possibility…. #128368

Given how well we are playing, its a definite chance and we may not even need the play offs such is the belief and energy running through the squad! :)

Not all are Scum. Some good honest fans. Spoke to quite a few on tube back to SIdcup where I was staying. One even gave my little boy a semi final badgee. Most honest and apprecaited we were better team. Shame a few idiots spoil it for honest fans.

    At last some common sense.

Alcaraz gives us a bit of pace, composure and quality at the back.

Noticeable how much better we have defend since his return.

Needed that 3 points, great escape on again!

To be fair he had a top game on saturday, showing urgency and passion for the club.
Our system is flexible, it has to be defensively given how fragile we are at back. Its just much better when Boyce plays on right because he gives us stability both ways unlike Ronnie Stam!

Given everything we’ve achieved as a club, one moment is probably impossibe.
    There are far too many

    1. Reading 05

    2. JRs goal at Highbury.

    3. Charlie’s winner v West ham

    4. Arry De Zeeuw launching Ronaldo the week after he took the P**s in the carling cup final. It showed the spirit of Jewell’s team and very much said don’t do that again!

    5. Paul Rogers strike for little ol wigan against mighty Millwall and their 50,000 fans at Wembley.

Plus many many more from great away days and proud performences.

The biggest thing is half don’t actually go to games especially if you look at our press box- 10 or 12 journos in it including radio.
Must watch it on MOTD and write reports based on their highlights. posting.php?mode=reply&f=5&t=7782#

Speaking of journalism, listen to Matt Jackson when he’s on. Legend of the club who is top quality in understanding of games.

Its definitely going to be one for watching from behind the sofa next sunday.

Wonder how Stoke will approach it. What side will they have?

    in reply to: Wow!!!! #65649

The performance given the situation and pressure was superb 2nd half. Just goes to show when you attack and have two forwards and wingers theres always men in box and chances are created.

Credit for being so positive :P

Jeff Peron. but an honourable mention to the mercenaries Jewell got rid of in his first season who were bleeding the club dry and couldn’t be arsed. BTW lowey has been watching latics for 25yrs.

    Spot on posts.
His inability to change is the main problem. Yes he had to take Boyce off as he was shattered and thomas( injured) but at 2-0 it needed a more attacking midfield option especially when the lad he brought on is so out of form its untrue.

Managers get paid for getting big decisions and changes correct!
