I just can’t see us losing. They are hopeless. If we score 1 we’ll score 3, so 3-0 for me.

Which will happen just after polar bears are sighted in Hades. We are completely reliant on an unpredictable man who may well be losing interest as fast as he is losing money. That Bolton result is a shocker. Feels like a slow death this year, every week a little bit worse than the last. We have the wrong man in charge and not enough fighters in the team. That is far more worrying than a story about a different sport.

Not really, it is just hard to take a thread seriously when it has a one word title and that is spelt incorrectly.

Why bother watching it or commenting on it when it is as relevant to us as the Wigan theatre or town tiddly wink teams. They have their share of tossers, but everybody knows that. They aren’t going to go away but we have more pressing things to get worked up about.

That wasn’t the pitch, though, wasn’t it the access areas?
As I am coming up for this please let it be on…

It’s thieves by the way. Primary school education is falling apart.

The Guardian report ended up by saying that you could see the markings for the rugby, which showed where the town’s true allegiance lies. I couldn’t believe it when I read it.
We can call for them to be kicked off all we like but we are tenants same as them. Whelan calls the shots and he isn’t going to want a civil war. You don’t name a stand after a rugby player if you intend to try and terminate someone’s lease. We can wish all we like, and write that it should happen every day from now till eternity, but it isn’t going to happen.

Not only can you drink, but both sets of fans can sit and stand together. Warrington’s ground is good because they still have terraces. I miss being able to stand to watch a match. Thanks Thatcher.

I think we’d get more to our games if we had a joint season ticket deal. Let the kids decide when given the choice. If the lad is living in Wigan then don’t send him to Saints or Leigh. If not Wigan then Warrington are supposed to be good – they won their cup final last year.

They worry me, as they have enough talent to go on a winning run whereas everyone else down there (including us) would be unlikely to string more than a couple of wins together. I found last night’s results pretty depressing.

I am as worried as you, I was just trying to clutch at straws. We need more dogs of war and less finesse I reckon.

It looked not far off to me, and 16k is a lot more than I feared. Maybe they count season ticket holders whether they show up or not?
We just need a couple of wins and then we’ll be able to relax. We are definitely too good to go down.
I think suggesting that other teams make up crowds is ridiculous in this day and age.

I am never sure what marginalised means, but I remember being told that criticising competition was a sign of weakness. All we can do is control what we can control – we can spread the word, the club can market better, and we can make everyone feel welcome.
I can’t see how we can have it both ways – despising fans of other teams and even other sports to our hearts content – and then complaining about lack of interest. If we want to hate everyone else and be proud of our (too small) core support who follow the team against the odds that’s fine and reasonable. If we want to grow and consolidate then we need to make everyone welcome imo.
