Now we have been promoted, I want the title.
Rovers pitch invading at Doncaster and the cameras seemed to love it.
If they go out on the lash so publically and don’t play to their best a few days later then there will always be references back to the night out.
They could easily have done it all privately and nobody would have batted an eyelid.
It probably wasn’t anything to do with it, but they shouldn’t put themselves in that position.
Caldwell got slated for it and the job was already done.
I’ve agreed with Cook all season but Saturday could have been a boo-boo.
Hopefully this kicks us up the backside to win the last 2.
Fingers crossed as Donny says that Charlton get at least a draw as I don’t fancy having to win at Donny.
Spot on Grumps. Very rare the best team doesn’t win the league.
When you factor in we have won the most games, scored the most goals, kept the most clean sheets and conceded the least number of goals it is pretty obvious.
Then you have stupid facts like:
Scored 50 goals away from home. More than anyone in the top 4 leagues and more than 32 have scored in total including the Premier League from 7th down.
Kept 16 clean sheets at home which is more than 79 teams have kept in total.
Won more games by 3+ goals than anyone else in the top four divisions.
If he gets offered more money then maybe he will leave. Who knows? Personally I think he will stay.
Unofficially champions tonight.
He probably has a point fil with some of his post.
They are 3 behind us despite a shocking start whereas we went 4 from 4.
We never looked like scoring against them at home. They had 9 men for about 2 minutes though.
They may have lost the least number of games but we have won the most and thats what counts.
No wonder you get a hard time on here vat. We all know you won’t give up football if Cook leaves. You’ll carry on like you have since the 80s.
Donated.
Well done buddy. Looked good fun along the way.
Didn’t he come here as he wanted to move north to be closer to family?
The media certainly dont seem as outraged.
That comment from Mowbray, “they scored two poor goals”, really wound me up. He needs to give his head a wobble and not deflect the conversation away from the fact that they let a two goal advantage slip.Paul Cook is a class above Mowbray, and you rarely hear him with disparaging remarks about the opposition. In most cases he usually compliments the opposition if they give us a tough game or take points off us. I think Mowbray is a sad and bitter loser with very little intellect !
I like the way cook very rarely blames the ref. Obviously he has his run ins during the game but he never blames anyone but us for a poor defeat.
Mowbray after the Rovers game went on how he didnt blow for the first 20 and our 2nd wasnt a foul etc etc. Had the ref blown early on he wouldn’t have given their 2nd.
Fact is they got everything 1st half, were 2 up and STILL didnt win the game. Like I said they blew it.
I have heard plenty managers say we are the best team in this league, we are top, promotes and that will do for me.
They’ve done nothing but talk about us for weeks. Social media is full of Rovers fans giving it the big one. That mon who posted Dack winning player of the year and said “I’ll leave this here for the Wigan fans” will look a right k*** when we can post one with the league trophy.
They were never truly top of the table as we always had the games in hand. It was always a false position of sorts. They had their chance to put the pressure on us at home and blew it big style.
Was kind of hoping they would blow it in the playoffs but ah well.
Been real impressed with Roberts. Feel that the step up may be too much but he would be good to have around.
Agree on Reece James. Really not a fan.
On the day our magnificent fans covered themselves in glory for Joseph,s goal, our magnificent team paid them the greatest tribute with that result. As on many many previous occasions before tonight I am a very proud Wigganer. Well done everyone concerned lets party tonight and again hopefully if we take the title. One life one love one Wigan Athletic.
Well done to all who did the walk and well done to Cookie and the lads.
I did fear we would run out of steam with the cup run but we seem to have got better and better.
The title should follow as realistically we need 2 wins from 3.
