Who can picture Pat McGibbon rising to head home the goal that secured promotion?
Had the picture on my wall for a few years.
Is it the Leeds v Wigan game tomorrow Horc?I wish. We might win that one.
As a fan of both I’ve never understood why people try and compare the two. Like apples and oranges.
I do understand why League fans hate Union, because historically if you played League you were banned from ever playing Union or in some cases even stepping foot on a Union club ground. Plus the closing down of all French league clubs. Similar to the feelings Latics have towards Rugby from the Lindsay days.
Personally, RL will always be my number one sport and as I’ve said many times….a good game of league will beat a great game of any other sport. Some agree, plenty don’t.
Landzaats away at Arsenal was pretty good too
I must admit, I wouldn’t have paid Clarke in washers.Confidence in a striker can’t be under estimated.
That’s it in a nutshell for me.
Our struggle to score goals never does any of our strikers any good. Some of that will be down to our formation/tactics and some of it will be down to us not supporting said strikers and leaving them exposed.
Just your comments that Mr Taylor was the head honcho of the Supporters Club which he isn’t.
Not unless he’s had a sex change anyway.I think our season will start to take shape in the next few games.
Results will be dependent on playing our best team and I’m not sure where our injuries are at, right now. Not too sure our management team is where it needs to be tactically just yet either, nagging doubt we’ve played some weak sides so far as well.Millwall H – Better away from home than at home 3 wins and a draw from 4 aways, including winning comfortably at Port Vale. I’d take a draw now.
Walsall H – Similar away form to Millwall and will want to put a few past our keeper. Only drew at home to Crewe, they’re at Scunthorpe tomorrow. For some reason fancy us more for this one than Millwall, probably because I think we’ll be trying to put right what went wrong tomorrow!
Bury A – They’re flying, beaten us already this season, Leon Clarke bound to score, who knows what team and tactics we’ll use for this one. See a defeat but hopefully a large following will help us.
Colchester H – These men are flying at the moment, hopefully they’ve stopped that by the time we play them.
Plus point is 3 of the next 4 are at home and hopefully we’ll have some first choice lads back.
Can’t disagree with that.
He is the head of media and webmaster. That however is not the head honcho is it as you described him?
The articles may be cringeworthy, to be honest I haven’t read them, but the club also had regular articles advertising 188Bet and 12Bet online with adverts in the program and all around the stadium.
If the websites in question want to give the SC money to advertise them then as a non-profit organisation they need to take it. A 57 seater coach to Millwall with 20 people on it doesn’t pay for itself you know.
I agree on the Premier League games though. I’m not fussed about the Championship now we aren’t in it.
Sorry Egg have you been on the Advocat or just still realling from the hilarity of Friday night?I’m not going to discuss any further a 3rd party on here. I know who he is an what his titles are. I suggest you understand that role within WASC before sayin Im wrong.
Oh believe me I know exactly what his role within WASC is, and it isn’t the head honcho as you put it.
Course they’re paying them you plonker, that’s the point, keep up, read the articles, uncomfortable and unnecessary for the tuppence ha’penny they’ll get for being associated with such tripe. I’d rather go bust, which they won’t.So what’s the difference in when the club did it for five or six years?
Somebody makes the decision to put Championship matches on instead of Premier League before games, in the supporters club, they need a talking to about that as well. I’m sure mines not the only money they’ve lost because of that.Ask someone to change the channel then.
One of the articles is from the head honcho supremo as well.Yet another thing you’ve got wrong on here.
How do you know that the websites in question aren’t paying the Supporters Club for the ad just like 188 Bet and 12 Bet paid the club? As a non-profit organisation I would say that any money they can get to help subsidise costs for Latics fans is a good thing yes?
Not sure I believe the last part Tez ;)
That is a good assumption Yoke Mon. I don’t think any player right through the leagues who was on international duty and training away from their teams last week started on Saturday. Seems like a masterplan and a master stroke pulled by Gaz. In that case why didn’t Jordi start? Negative stroke resulting in negative result.Probably the same reason the other subs didn’t. Caldwell saw them as subs.
If mid-table obscurity is all we were seeking then maybe. But we aren’t.
It’s very early in the season – surely you haven’t given up already? He’d given up before the season started.
Seeing as he probably didn’t train with the team all week, I can understand why he was benched.
I expect he will start on Saturday.
This is almost as boring as the Bobby thread
