Oi, Eggy. That’s the one I found too :)
Perv
T’aint me who talks codswallop on here.I wouldn’t be too sure about that one.
Anyway, as mighty_aff has said, things have changed on here.
Myself, Jay, John, George and a few others are slowly trying to get the site ticking again and hopefully that will drag some new posters along with it. I think most posts on here are just banter in the main part there’s never too much that seems serious.
Would be good to have a few conversations that stay on topic though.

Minutes silence started and ended with the sound of a gun?
Is that wise with the ground being as close to Norley Hall and Marsh Green as it is?
I suppose 1914 prices is too much to hope for? ;) :PThat the first Christmas you had a beer at George?
First time I’ve posted for around a year maybe, been logging in and seeing it all, however it’s really lost some of its characters. Seems to be same folk driving newer posters away, or same folk stamping down on any craic that is generated.
Hope it gets a little busier next year, and the temporary poor form of the team is short lived with it.
And that’s why my grandson (and some of his friends) stay clear of commenting on this board.
I’m just a “daft old twat” here at the annoyance of some on this board – there you go eh?
Yet you’re one of those that is always having said arguments? Weird eh?
Like Sammy says, if you post codswallop on a public forum you should be prepared to take the flack for it.
I doubt it ever would with the reputation that the game has police wise even though it was worse in them days. I’ve been watching rugby 26 years and football for 20 and I’ve seen more fights at rugby than I have at football.
The Magic Weekend at rugby really is a top day/weekend out. I’m glad it’s somewhere you’d stay over again this year as it lost that vibe moving to Manchester. The caravan sites and hotels we stayed in were just covered in flags and shirts from clubs in all 3 leagues and the atmosphere was brilliant.
Would love the same to happen with football but like I say…sadly I don’t think it ever will.
The problem is we have all this ‘anticipating the contact’ bollocks which Gary Neville once stated isn’t a dive. My opinion is, if he doesn’t touch you then it’s a dive but this doesn’t seem to be the thinking in the World of football.
Similar to the intent rule really.
There is no intent rule – in football anyway. Not sure if you’re talking about rugby league
I was referring to football. Sure I’ve seen players booked for ‘intent’ before.
The only mention of any form of intent in the laws of the game is “deliberate handball” – its not mentioned anywhere else
The word intent is deliberately omitted coz there it is too subjective & can’t be proven – that’s why they use words like careless, reckless, dangerous etc.
I see. I guess I’ve been infuriated all these years for nothing then

If we get beat we are in the proverbial big time, I say this because of who we are playing! Home against the likes Rotherham in their current form should be 3 pts minimum. They haven’t won since 17th October, even Reading beat them!Whilst I get your point and do tend to agree in a way…
…we haven’t won since the 25th October which was our only win since August. They’ve won more games than us, lost less games than us and conceded less goals than us.
Yes on paper it should be 3 points, but I don’t think we have the paper to be confident about anything at the minute.
Hope so, but I’m losing confidence rapidly
this thread smacks of desperation ;)
Does that come with chips as well? :S
Seriously though, it’s joke on this thread or pull our hair out time (again) tonight.
Looks like that may have gone over your head. If not, then just curry on and ignore me.
Bowled a bouncer in his first over too, I believeHe did yeah
I’m not dead-against 4-4-2. What I am against is those who think that if you’re not scoring goals, it’s as simple as putting another striker up there and that’s the problem solved. My thoughts exactly
