Losing to Notts County on pens at Springfield Park and 1-0 to Canvey Island. Plenty of other bad memories that will all be washed out when I see the lads walk out on Saturday.
I’d have preferred the half time score but a draw isn’t too bad. Win tomorrow and I think we’ll survive.
Someone is going to either –a) come and point out that our crowds are not “double” those of the other lot and actually Wiganers watching both teams is only about a thousand or so higher, in our favour, and that Wigan is actually a “sports town”, or something.
or
b) the Egg will throw a massive strop and close the thread before anyone else gets the chance to reply.
B – as it was posted on the correct board……nope
A – Exactly
Very vocal yesterday. Good job I had plenty liquids to keep my voice intact
Massive mixture of emotions though. I was probably more nervous approaching the ground than I will be next week and I’m firmly in the win the cup camp. Bring on Tuesday.
It literally was a head in hands moment. A few of them in that end can clearly be seen on TV with heads in hands.
I think I would have to be offered a lot to sell to a City fan. We are pretty close to selling out, and i’d rather have an empty seat next to me than a City fan.
City have sold out now
Well done you.
Be careful about others you mention though who have not pleaded yet.
He’s chosen to speak today…

Not about others though is what GL means.
You’ve lost me there. Their connection to Owen Oyston is in the public domain easily tracebale on line. Their mugshots were all over Preston in 2006-7 advertising they’d joined Owens as directors. They MUST have known they’d joined the company of a convicted rapist?
Yes but Bill Roach hasn’t pleaded guilty yet nor has he been found guilty

I think Beausejour will play instead of Stam, but I put him in as he’s slightly faster than JB and can therefore get up and down easier.
Was surprised to see him go out on loan. Thought he looked ok the few times he played.
I know I’ve tried selling books ;)You have a book out Griff? What’s it about?
The youth zone.
Martinez and Youth Zone. We are so privileged to have these in Wigan aren’t we.
Wasn’t the soccerdome the best in Europe too.
Bet the Germans are shitting themselves at our might.
We don’t have the best football team in Europe. We have the best Rugby League team in Europe though :P :P :P
Odds on the next poster
sirdavewhelan 1/2, The Egg 13/8, Conroy 3/1
how can the egg & conroy have very different odds when it’s the same person?????
You know what, I didn’t even spot that until now. About 10 hours later :P :P :P :P
So now i get Griff’s second post.
Dropeth the penny.
GUN PLEASE
:)
i would take winning the f.a.cup on penalties anyday, but imagine the nerves having watched 90 minutes, 30 minutes extra time and then a penalty shoot out doesnt bear thinking about
Yes..still win the cup whether its penalties or whatever.
That will turn into a very early morning back home (2-3am…) who cares when we’ve won..but that’s a long journey home if the unthinkable happens :(
Especially when I’m up at 8 to go to Hull the day after.
Excited for the next 5 games if I’m honest.
Be careful what you say prior to the case as you can be done for it (as can the site)
No worries. He’s pleaded guilty (actually in mid April) the case is over.
What you’re not allowed to comment on/discuss is an ongoing court case in case a jury member were to read it and it influence their decision ie contempt of court.
Was on jury service at Preston a few years ago and all the do’s and dont’s were spelled out to us ;)
Didn’t know he’d pleaded guilty. Carry on ;)
