West Ham 3
Spurs 0/1
WBA 3
Swansea 0/1
Arsenal 0/1
Villa 3We can beat Swansea but one eye may be on Wembley
I’ve heard they’ve managed to charter one but it will be £70 return the week before or £125 for the Final.
It will leave Wigan at 2.30pm to allow more people to see it depart.
I would imagine so. (I hope so as I want one)
Your best bet is to probably go on the club shop site and e-mail them.
I would imagine that the small print of the booking says that that is a possibility should the coach be damaged
It probably is so why are people still using the 5.15 kick off time for the trouble ?Fully agree
Apparently it was Bennett’s coaches of Warrington. I’d love the organiser to be a poster on here so we would know for sure. Was thinking of invoicing them for the train home for our 16yr old but I’d be wasting my time.I’d certainly be asking why they were left
5:15 KO just gives more beer time therefore leading to more trouble. Half those Millwall were pished as farts falling over kids.
But Newcastle had a dinnertime kick off v Sunderland at the weekend and looked what happened there. Explain that
Nothing to do with drinking before the game. If people want to fight they will, be it drunk or not
It’s very possible to be drunk before a lunch time kick off
What about the stuff that Wealdstone Mark has commented on? Maybe this is why the driver left them?
A few points I’d raise for the FA:
“The 5.15 pm kick-off time gives more people an opportunity to see the game and proved very popular last season.”
With who? Surely every away fan that day missed some of the supposed calendar showpiece?
“A post-5pm kick-off slot on a Saturday has been used regularly by both the Premier League and Football League for their televised fixtures for a number of seasons.”
This isn’t the Premier League or Football League. There is no “home” team for a start off. This is the FA Cup Final which in the 20 years I’ve watched football has kicked off at 3pm on a Saturday except for last season when it was changed.
“We have been in dialogue with Virgin about travel options back to the North West since before the semi-finals although research shows that only a minimal amount of fans use this mode of transport when travelling to Wembley Stadium.”
Maybe that’s because you make it impossible for them to do so. It’d be like saying nobody at a Wigan Athletic home match orders a Chicken Pie at half time, or only having 10 Cheese pies available and then saying they sell better than Meat & Potato because they sell out.
I think the FA have finally admitted what we all knew with this. Us paying fans actually mean f*ck all in the grand scheme of this sport and the ones that do matter are those who watch in the pubs and at home. They pay highly inflated subscriptions and then football gets highly inflated sponsorship etc etc. Absolute f*cking joke.
should of been 2 up before they scored , there crowd was very quiet , only came to life after they scored. why change mcmanaman for de santo?Martinez said on Monday that there’ll be changes from match to match and that we’ll need the full use of our squad.
All 4 divisions
Auto Windscreens final
Playoff final
League Cup final
FA Cup finalNot bad at 26 years of age.
I was in New Zealand for the Marsden Cup final
Scharner for me was indeed our weakest link tonight and constantly had me squirming in my seat ! I had a gut feeling that he would have a hand in any goals that we conceded and unfortunately I wasn’t wrong ! Great performance tonight and if we had just been more clinical we would have won ! If we play like that for the remainder of the season we should be ok but Scharner has been fairly poor of late and is a concern for me !
scharner did get turned for the goal but gomez also put a lazy leg out before he shot didn’t expect anything tonight but we didn’t get spanked and a bit of luck could of got something out of the game but we didn’t and we move on 3 points at west ham
A result tonight was a bonus. We haven’t f*cked our goal difference up and have given ourselves a huge confidence boost ahead of both the final and the run-in by competing with them.
Win at West Ham on Saturday and we climb out the bottom 3 with a winnable game in hand and Villa having to go to Old Trafford on Monday night.
The only way it will go away is when either the game implodes or big games are played in front of nobody.
Liverpool and Man City fans protested at the prices of Arsenal away by having flags and sending a few tickets back. They should have sent them all back. That would have hit Arsenal a hell of a lot more than a few tickets being returned. Similarly, until people refuse to pay between £45 and £115 for a ticket to the cup final they will continue to sell them at that price.
Imagine the Merseyside derby or FA Cup final played in front of an empty Anfield or 20,000 posh two hats who are there for free? The Premier League/FA would HAVE to take notice then.
Obviously that is never going to happen and so prices will continue to go up until the games money men have nothing left.
Sharner is our best centre half. Look at the results since he has started playing and Caldwell hasn’t. Yeah he gets turned easily at times but makes up for it with his tackles.Clueless!!!!!
I don’t think he can be blamed for the defeat tonight, but I would argue that Alcaraz is our best centre half.
Tevez for me shouldnt have been on the field. His 2nd tackle on McCarthy inside the box was late and from behind ,down the back of his ankle and should have been 2nd yellow.Thought that myself
