Chelsea are still in the Europa League too.
If they reach both the Europa League Final and the FA Cup Final, they will have to play 17 games in 7 weeks. They are playing Sat Mon Thurs and Sun this week and they would have do this once more.
So perhaps Chelsea would be the best opponents to play. They got off to a bad start yesterday, losing at Southampton. They also play strugglers Sunderland (h) and Aston Villa (a).
Lets hope they get better results in them two.
God, It’s just soooooooooooooooo tedious. Come on for friggs sake. Wigan Warriors play Rugby League. Wigan Athletic play football. Two completely different sports. Two completely different fan bases. Two completely different views. Not once when i go on cherry and white do i see a post about football or slagging Latics off. Well nowhere near the extent it is reversed anyway. It is really very very sad. It shows a level of jealousy and envy that the rugby is brought up all the time. Is it because deep deep down you are scared of them doing well and the media talking about them? Or is it just the fact that Wigan (as a whole) has always (and will always) be associated with rugby rather than football.
Let Wigan Athletic do what they do best. That is piss off the premier league by staying up at the expense of a ‘big club’
And let the rugby do what they do best, That is being the biggest club in the world for that sport.
Sorry to cliche but ‘It’s a completely different ball game’
Correct
maybe so they could fumeagate the stadium afterYeah it probably needed it after having them plastic scouse St Helens bastards in
How many do you think, about 2.2 wins will take some of the pressure off, but 3 will make life easier.
I think so. Looking at the run ins we could beat QPR and not need to win another game. If we pick a win up there and get something from the West Ham game we’ll survive. Swansea at home will be the game we seal it I think.
Almost as bad as the excuse and request to the groundsman that the reason we’ve been poor at home is because the grass is too long (true story)
You’re taking the piss aren’t you? For a start off the pitch is in the best condition it’s been in in years.
Those who were at the supporters club dinner on Thursday will have seen the state of the pitch back in that 2002/03 season (when the rugby wasn’t playing on it btw) yet those players who obviously are less skilled supposedly than the current crop all managed to pass the ball around perfectly. Similarly I haven’t heard Chris Hughton blame the pitch for the defeat which of course he would have if he felt there was an issue.
We played shite yesterday and it had nothing to do with the pitch or is that this weeks “let’s have a go at the rugby” topic as the rugby crowd was bigger until the obvious drop to about 13k next week?
I don’t think we’ll need that many tbh
Yes egg, I believe it to be.That’s kind of the purpose of my post, capiche?
Sorry. Been a long night B)
Hiadra’s incident with Callum.I’ve just stumbled upon an article raga riding Callum’s tackle on Hiadra (spell check).
Newcastle medical team a few days later issued the following comments – there was significant deep tissue subcutaneous bleeding due to trauma and a recovery period of next month is expected.
Now at the time of this article it was the 24th march.
So I’d like to re-jig this comment from Newcastle united to – he has a bruise and hell be back next week.
Shit fans, a bellend of a chairman and a crank for manager. Hope they go down. Especially now after they created some type of North Korea type which hunt on us.
Maybe significant deep tissue subcutaneous bleeding due to trauma is the medical term for a bruise?
15000 home fans today. That’s our average. Nothing to see here.
They struggled without Haidara.
Nevermind. He’ll be back next week.
Alcaraz was my man of the match, his slide tackle in the box in the second half was risky, but perfect timing made it a brilliant tackle.
He has certainley made a difference along with Scharner at the back.Man of match by a long way I’d say
I’d find it hard to disagree but Kone pushed him close.
I agree with most of what bigroy said earlier. The turning point of today’s game was when McArthur replaced McManaman.
We needed to bring McArthur on as we were losing the midfield.
Were the floodlights not turned on after the game so they could work on the pitch/ground?

Just actually read the thread. Where are these famed happy hours? Sick of paying £3 a pint.
