Just read the article. I was on the South Stand gantry taking the flags down when that pic was took. Wondered what it was tbh.
So all of the 3000 “missing” fans were U11? Or do they all come from a single-parent household where the parent couldnt go either?These continual excuses for non-attendance are pretty sad, to be honest. Why not face up to the fact that there are about 12-13,000 core home fans, and any others are only there because they have been given a free ticket?
I’ve always said that that’s our core support. Why people like you or the media suddenly expect that to reach 18k or more just because we play Man Utd baffles me.
I wouldn’t have give a shite if I was the only Latics fan on the ground. The fact is that we beat Man Utd 1-0 and THAT is all that matters.
I’ll be there tomorrow btw but I doubt the rest of our 10k season ticket holders will be. Will you be back then to explain why that is?
I’m still here. We’ve been good the last few weeks and I’m confident we’ll survive but we did so last year.
I’m still not always confident with his substitutions and sometimes they leave me scratching my head, but I’ll also admit he has to take credit for our recent displays. If he can turn that into a full seasons work then we’re laughing.

Happy as a pig in shite with them results. Providing we don’t capitulate on Monday night and can keep it within a goal should we lose then we’re practically 4 ahead of Blackburn (granted only 1 or 2 goals but they all count) who won’t get much off Spurs or Chelsea but a hiding, and 3 over Bowtun who granted have 2 games in hand but they won’t get much off Spurs. QPR may be level on points but they’ve got Chelsea, City and Spurs.

Its half-term in Wigan isnt it? My brother is a teacher in Wigan and he’s been off this week.So you’d keep an U11 awake until 11pm on half term would you? Granted they won’t have to be up for school but I bet they still need to be awake to be taken to babysitters or school holiday clubs etc

seem to remember a mad day in 2008 when loads of them turned out and caused mayhem all around Wigan taking over pubs and bullying bar staff etc then barged in at the end to see them lift the title.

Vandalism of any sort is unacceptable and it must have been this mob(danny Dyer speak again) who did the damage on Miry (wouldnt park my car there on a lonely day btw)I had no problem with them being let in the ground after that game to see them lift the title as it was the safest place for them to be from a policing POV.
Had two Utd fans next to me last night. Tried their best to cover it up but failed miserably.
