When beckham scored a similar goal at palace we never saw the end of it, it seemed to be on the telly every time Beckham’s name was mentioned! bet we don’t see figs goal again after next week.
My goal of the season, great goal!
Third longest goal in PL history BEATING the one from Beckham. Paul Robinson’s against Watford was longest with Xabi Alonso JUST beating Figgy and then Becks.
As you say though, a goal like that SHOULD have been the big headline of the day and would have been if scored by a higher profile team. Instead it was third or fourth behind Chelsea, Utd and Wolves.
After MOTD once again made it look like we got hammered what did you expect
It was live in Hindley but didn’t watch it  :lol:
The game was on live in Bratislava btw.
Yes
Okay, so maybe Man Utd supporters are the only one’s that can claim to be living the dream. So why did they look so dejected on MOTD after losing 1-0 to Villa, for the first time in 26 years at Owd T.Where did I say that?
9-1 battering, then the best ever Premiership goal !
Never a dull moment being a Tics mon.
Think that’s gonna typify our season.
It could be really boring; we could follow a team like Southend, Orient, Shrewsbury, etc.We are living the dream, even if it does feel like being on a roller coaster !!!
Not sure i’d call it that
Did they lose the footage from the game yesterday? They make it look like Sjoke hammered us before showing us to have more chances.

Real football with real fans.
We need the three points as I can’t see us getting any at Anfield. I doubt we will though i’m afraid. Bit of a bogey ground the old Brittania.
You’re right there mucka:
W1 D3 L3 at the BritanniaTo be honest they are a massive bogey team[/quote]
I’m always right Jay ;)

He has OFFERED himself to Man Utd
We are desperate for someone who puts the ball in the back of the net. We could (and probably should have been) 4 or 5 up on Saturday, but due to poor positioning, decision making and finishing we weren’t and it cost us the game. It isn’t the first time and won’t be the last time it happens.
We need to spend money (and I mean £6m or £7m +) on a goal scorer and not someone who can hold the ball up.
I would personally find it difficult to support a club some 100 mile away as the whole basis of my support for Latics (as i’ve said many times on this board and the rugby board) is that they’re my home town team and it makes me proud to come from Wigan when people from around the world recognise us. If we moved 100 mile away i’d no longer have that.
On the other hand if another club was set up (as afc wimbledon were) i’m not sure I could support them despite them being my home town side as they aren’t the club i’ve supported through thick and thin for 15/16 years. I’d ‘follow’ them yes, but could I ‘support’ them? I’m not sure.
So….what say you? Would you prefer a Chairman who has taken us to the PL and put us on the map, or one who rips the heart and soul away from the town, and yourself?
It looks like one of those cheap Christmas decorations shops you get.
Still……..better than noute.
