We seem to get sucked into playing hoofball. There was far more movement off the ball yesterday and players had options to pass to. That normally doesn’t happen and we end up just lumping it to Moore. The goal on Saturday showed what we can do when we knock it around and move.
Moore has to play for me with Windass, Lowe and Pilkington behind him when all fit.
Not sure they do, but if they do I’d expect Latics also do that.

Just checked the ruling as I didn’t know whether or not they had to touch it with it being an uncontested drop ball but all I can see is that opposing players must be 4m away so perhaps he is saying Morsy wasn’t? Seemed to me like he just bottled it that it had come off him and then we broke away especially after all their players (numbers 2 and 19 loved a good moan) had moaned at him.
In all fairness the whole team played well. They played some good stuff throughout the game. The type of football I’m sure we would all be happy to see week after week.

Tonight sums up why we are where we are for me. Dominate a game, miss a few chances and then give away a stupid goal like that. Yes we got lucky with our goal but it was well deserved. If I could be critical of the chances we missed, Massey should really have done better with the header off the bar.
Naismith was superb at the back as I’ve said elsewhere and I thought Nathan Byrne was tremendous as well.

We did the business good style!. Knocked it around superbly, created chances won all the battles. Was great to see Richardson and Barry talking tactics throughout and not arguing with 4th official all night. If you didn’t know which team was which you would have said we was the team at the top of the table.
WTF was Jones playing at for the free kick that led to their goal??.
I would keep things as they are for satdy but you just know Cook will ring the changes.
