He shouldve been sacked today.

      Shithouses.

Egg, you sound like youd be happy to see us in lower leagues.

Is there no ambition any more at this club? Doesnt sound like it.

From a fan perspective I hated the Prem if i’m honest. Horrible league. On the other hand I love this division and would be quite happy to stay here for the foreseeable with the odd decent cup run.

As my mrs will tell you, I hate losing but as I’ve said on other posts a new manager won’t necessarily mean success.

You’re right and I agree but we have also seen the complete opposite with Mackay and Joyce. Like I say, it’s a gamble and I genuinely don’t know which way I would go but can fully understand both reasonings.

Like you say we haven’t been completely outplayed all the time like we were against Brentford which makes some of our defeats even more frustrating.

3 weeks ago we were 7 pts off play offs..a very compressed league with 7 pts separating top 15. It’s a very open league and up to then no one was outstanding and I.m.o no one is now. So to be satisfied with 4th bottom, turgid, gutless dire football and results is a Cook lemmings kop out !!! Funny how their expectations continue to decrease as we close on league one……soon they’ll be posting they’re looking forward to Cook guiding us out of league one…..Preston apart I haven’t seen one side I would class as too good for us. Talk about in denial, stats, league position, crap football, and his hopeless press conferences…….how can anyone with their marbles still intact really, really believe Cook can turn it round..!!!!………Only one resolution can give us hope….

That is the annoying thing yes. We are matching most sides and in some cases are outplaying them but we make stupid defensive mistakes and miss too many chances. I’m not sure a new manager fixes that.

And those comments are exactly what Paul Cook was talking about in the comments you berated him for. So we had 8 years in the Premier League. So what? Oldham and Swindon were there well before us should they be up there fighting for it now based on that?

We spent 10m on our squad yes, but there are sides in this league spending that on single players. You may not want to believe it has any impact but sadly it does and your budget usually correlates to your league position and someone who has worked for the total fuck up that is Bolton should understand the consequences more than most of clubs pissing away money they don’t have.

Well due to losing our two best players and not replacing them with players remotely close in quality whilst having one of the 5th smallest budgets in the division, I expected us to finish somewhere in the bottom 10. Sometimes flirting with danger but in the end pulling safe by a similar margin of 12 points last season when we “survived by the skin of our teeth”.

As for complaining, if we scored some of the goals sides like City have scored that contains about 40 passes our fans would have started booing around pass 5 or when we dared to pass it backwards.

Well there wasn’t much else to do during that ‘performance’ but you’re right our support is shit. Far too many people not happy unless they’re complaining.

Real simple and easy question for you.

Where did you expect us to be this season and why?

Well 2 who dont get a run out definitely not league 1..Pilkington, Windass. Then Moore in my opinion championship material so is Williams,Morsy,Mulgrew,Robinson, Marshall aren’t league 1…so that’s 8.So please explain with nearly 10 mill spent in 1 window and with at least 8 (imo) championship standard players how you conclude that we’re performing adequately for the players we have ???..Oh and as of 12:30 today we are now the championship lowest scores…..and the EFL’s joint 2nd lowest …only Bolton have scored less!!!

Robinson is a defender who can’t defend. His positional play is worse than Figueroa’s was.

Marshall makes some good saves but can’t be expected to keep everything out, similarly Fox and/or Mulgrew are doing the job of the entire back 4.

Morsy is apparently crap and should be dropped according to everyone when we get beat and Kieffer Moore has played over 60 games at this level and is yet to hit double figures. Williams I will give you.

When Windass doesn’t play he’s great, when he plays he’s crap, to the point that Cook was actually asked at a fans forum what Windass brings to the team.

Jacobs, Massey (bar 10 games last year), Lowe, Dunkley, Kipre and Byrne are all not good enough at this level.

Big Roy’s crock of s### posts get better. We know your content cos as you’ve stated previously “league 1 is our level “. Cook is a car crash. The squad we have is seriously underperforming. How many more mind numbing last min capitulations and away dropped bollocks do you need before you’ll hold your hands up and admit your way off backing him ????….Remember…..its a results business!!!!!!

Who is underperforming when you consider that generally most of these players are L1 players?

I mean, Naismith is getting the blame again from some angles yet he wasn’t anywhere near the 3rd goal.

Every team needs a scapegoat. It would have been Naismith’s fault even if he hadn’t come on.
I blame Jordi Gomez
I still blame Gomez and Naismith for that Gillingham goal in 2000.

Cook ain’t going anywhere. Don’t waste your energy. Get behind team or don’t bother going to games. Go Xmas shopping with Mrs like VAT. If expectation is to be in top half of Championship with our crowds and income your likely to be disappointed. As an example our entire wage bill last recorded was 16 million. Stoke receive 35 million from Premier League in parachute payments alone and are still below us despite doubling our attendances and taking our best player from the last few years and putting him on the bench. Survival is our aim every season and Cook so far hasn’t found himself in the relegation spots too often.

Nonsense bigroy. We won the cup you know.

So what would you have done donny?

Again, nobody can offer any reasonable alternatives and are just slagging things off like a bloke with tourettes.

SUBSTITUTIONS, NAISMITH, 442, AWAY RECORD, NOT GOIN AGAIN.

The 2nd goal has f*** all to do with any of the above, it was dreadful defending that I’m pretty sure wasn’t part of the planning.

As I’ve said, gamble that he can keep us up or gamble a new man can with the same L1 players but I have no idea who we would/could get. Really tough call. If we sack him and still go down it could cost us a fortune.

If you can’t support us when we lose, don’t support us when we win.

Taking the piss? Ive been going years, and stuck through all the Swain days and everything. Difference was then, we spent peanuts on young lads released by Everton and non league players. Not 10 million on rubbish.

Ive been going since 86, mate. But iys come to this crap we have now.
Well this should be like a dream to you then being in the top 44 clubs in England.

He changes things, goes 442 and people still moan.

What subs would you have made?

It’s not just about subs though is it ?, his negative starting 11 doesn’t help as well. Results don’t lie, he can call it bad luck whatever but at the end of the day especially away it’s just like the Groundhog Day movie.

For whatever reason it’s just not happening for Cook at Wigan. Were like any other club were it’s nice to have players and managers having an affiliation of some sort with the club but if the results don’t come you run the risk of a sacking.
I’m just shocked he’s lasted so long and if the owners stand thier ground on him going nowhere then they better get their stall set out for League One football.
It’s time for a change and don’t be shocked if Moyes leads the team out at home to Reading.
But everyone is complaining about his substitutions? I mean, Naismith is getting the blame again from some angles yet he wasn’t anywhere near the 3rd goal.

I agree about Jacobs. Another who is clearly a L1 player. Personally I would be picking Pilks or Windass.
