Have a goodun
Our wages seem to be a good topic, with some thinking its a Whelan subsidy. We have 26 players, with according to DW, ”£20,000 is not an option for Wigan Athletic” when speaking of a possible Owen move. But we will give the benefit of the doubt and say our top earners are on 20k. If all were on 20k, we would be talking £27m, leaving £13m for the remaining bills. But what wages do we think this lot are on?
MF Cho Won-Hee
MF Ben Watson
FW Jason Scotland
MF Daniël de Ridder
MF Tomasz Cywka
GK Richard Kingson
MF James McCarthy
FW Rachid Bouaouzan
MF Tomasz Kupisz
MF Jonathan Routledge
MF Joe Holt
FW Callum McManaman
In reality, our players wage bill is closer to £10m, leaving £30m for remaining bills. And lets not forget, this is just Sky money, all others like advertising, prize money, sponsorship etc goes on top of that. Then theres the millions in player sales. So last season, were talking about £70m after players wages. Take the blinkers off and you will see our directors and one in particular is doing very nicely out of us whilst investing nothing.are you insane i think the wage’s are closer to £10 million leaving £30 million for remaining bills
If Dave Whelan is this great business man who made himself a multi millionaire why can’t he realise by investing his money in the club and not letting the better players leave (all under contract) he would push us up the Premiership battling for a uefa cup spot and get all the fans excited about the games again. Wigan Athletic in the Premiership are a great investment, probably the lowest wage bill in the league, a new club with possibilities and a guaranteed £40m before league position, prize money, tv money, league placement money, advertisements and sponsorship, it would sell easily. If we are relegated, all that will change.
Rather than just dive in and accept whats on offer, if we had added a couple of quality signings to our team January last year and kept hold of who we had, we would have made the top six. We were right on course before Whelan ruined the team. If we had indeed finished sixth, would Bruce have walked out on a chairman who was backing him and a club in Europe?Yawn my garden need’s doing
Post it as many time’s as you want Garswood but the hate whelen brigade have got their agenda and they are sticking to it

I was trying to say that if we dont beat Wet Spam then we are gonna be right down there and its a dog fight scenario ! The crux of my thread is we need to forget about the Villa game and move on as we have some “Tasty” fixtures coming up ![/quot
So your saying the only win of the season we should forget about
