Chester are very big fishes now in a very tiny pond occupied by what is largely former factory teams.Surely the powers that be could have put them straight in the Bluesquare north due to the size of this club.
What is annoying about clubs like this is that they reform and suddenly have an enormous away and home followings unlike the days when thay were a league club when three men and the dog turned up.
Latics always took over the Deva when we went there and even sat in their stands due to the low numbers. If these had fools turned up back in the day when they were a league club things would be so different now.
What they must realise is that although the clubs in the league evostick are whatever it is called may be little @ rsewipe clubs they still have an assortment of headbangers who will turn out and cause trouble like we saw yesterday.
One thing though i am absolutely sure about is that our livelier supporters would never target innocents like that mob did yesterday.
8-)I was there and saw the fence coming down before the game (loads of wanabees dont think a puch was thrown)
and im told Chester kids and pensioners were ambushed after the game-BANG OUT OF ORDER!.
The atmosphere reminded me of the late seventies at Latics with people charging around and the dreadful fashions in Chorley are years behind as well as the attitudes.
Strange little town .Chorley chester game was like a throwback to the 70’s and that was just the fashions.
Chester seem to have found some fans rather than the three men and the dog they used to bring to springy.I know yer, im not gohoris biggest fan but my grandad is better than caldwell haha
The only 2 changes i would do is diame out for mccarthur and maybe start cleverly now hes fit instead of moses and get moses on about 60 mins
I really like moses but i think he is better used as an impact player than a starter, which i think is the opposit for cleverlyMoses would start every game for me!
Moses is a fantastic player improving all the time and does not give the ball away unlike a good few of his team mates. He had a small hand in the goal yesterday and his run through their defence to set up Hugo was superb. The team has looked much better since his return with more shape and creativity.
His influence(mostly from the bench) last season won us at least six points in my view and kept us up.
Our best player in my viewRobin Park away???
Local derby or what?
They will need a massive police presence for that one could go off big time around the ground :lol:Saw Nookie bear once and boy did it eff and blind
Terry and June was the worst ever couldnt f@@@in stand it .
Stereotypes aglore with typical middle class situations involving Terrys boss DH(did it stand for D/ckhead?)and the local vicar etc.
Also Last of the summer wine was bloody awful also with weekly stories about that scruffy one going down hills in bath tubs.Ricky Gervais is probably the funniest man around today and he does it by just being himself. His material is weird but it is the way he says things that is funny and his laugh(check his show with karl Pilkington) just cracks me up.
The funniest comedian EVER was Dave Allen whose style is a sort of cross between Gervais and Peter Kay.Really pleased for them couldnt happen to a nicer club.
i remember a game in the late 90’s when Paul Warne hit a blinder early on in that Museum piece of a ground they had back then.My then little lad was knocked off a wall with a stray ball.He was a bit shaken but the stewards were sound and helped him up and asked if he was ok.
They looked very good yesterday and some of the play was awesome i think they may surprise a few next season i really do.
I hope all the genuine supporters get the season tickets because nothing annoys more than JCL’s nabbing all the tickets.1..p / ssed old men in suits who dont look like they have washed for a month.
2.P / ssed old men in suits having a slash on the terraces.
3.Kids on the away dugout roof abusing the manager and subs-did this many times in the early days at springy(not proud) ;) ;)
4.Gerald Sindstadt
5.Dogs running on the pitch during th match
6.Players on the bus or train going home after the game.
I remember seeing Danny Wilson kicking around with his mates on seccy field in Orrell when i was about 10 years old.
He was at Bury then i think but was snapping his mates like no tomorrow if i remember rightly.
I hope he beats the Millwall scum i have never forgotten how they booed the during the minutes silences in their memory at Wembley in the Auto Windscreens final in 99.
I was made up for him the other night and it just shows what a good manager he is .Looked like a pair of poncy prefects let loose in the Headmasters office for the day-a total lack of arrogance.
They dont come across as the conniving back stabbing politicians we have seen in the past which in itself is refreshing.Glad they didnt make it so glad we will see a new club enter the PL rather than some old yo-yo club. Can you imagine the bias from that smug self satisfied Leicester tw@ t on MOTD if they had came up.
The lad must be gutted though and you have to feel for him he was just being over confident.
Cant wait to see who comes up -not that bothered either way now at least its more money spreading about the game and i think Cardiff are probably the more needy.Dirt cheap season tickets for all the loyal supporters and mega cheap for under 21’s to watch top flight football is hardly the work of a tight git.
No way is he player of the season however Scharner has played his part this season and in previous ones.
His last ditch tackle against Chelsea 2-1 up then notching the third in that famous win.His goal against Stoke also gave us a valuable point against a much stronger in form team at the time.
Lets also not forget that goal in 2007 at Bramhall lane that contributed to surely the greatest Houdini relegation escape of all time.I know his performances have been poor of late but i think he has paid his transfer fee back tenfold over the past three and a half years.I think he is better staying at latics and fighting for his rightful position at centre half.
I would predict a promoted club from the play offs to be his next likely destination cant see any of the top 8 coming in. -
