If we get promoted press on with the current policy
It’s workingI reckon he will go down as a bit of a cult figure because of his late goal at Chesterfield which was a major turning point this season.
He also played a significant role in the late victory over gillingham recently so all in all he had a hand in winning anextra few points for us.
He was a bit lightweight and has a good deal to learn but the negative comment above is very unfair really given his age and experience. He always seemed to give his all and I think he will be remembered for quite a while by the supporters.
Hope he does well in the future.sorry bull it I misunderstood however the teams performances still leave room for improvement especially away from home.
Saturday was easily the best performance of the season and can’t see anything but automatic promotion from the team this year if thy is anything to go by.
The crowds leave a lot to be desired I agree but no doubt a few 2005-6 replica tops are being washed as we speak and those fair weather johnnie come latelys will surely return to boost the crowds.Of course there is room for improvement and we need to make a statement next Saturday at bramhall lane.
Our away form has been bitty and we have had ar too many draws when we should have come away with wins.
we haven’t really been in the frame for automatic promotion until now and I havent sensed the other clubs see us as a big scalp either so from this unassuming position I feel we CAN get in the top two now.
The intensity seems to have upped a gear and I felt players were scrapping and fighting a lot more yesterday as some of them could lose their places for good with one bad performance.
Promotion is very very important for the club this year as we need to extra income from away support that the championship brings.
Was yesterday the start of our golden run to promotion?Absolutely outstanding performance today against a side pushing for the play offs.
Some of the football played was from a higher level and have a feeling they could blitz this league from now on.
Btw what the effing hell where that bunch of vale clowns doing being escorted through the home sections shortly after kick off ?
Coukd have been nasty anyone know why they got in to the home end?Three fantastic goals and another three points in the bag .
Thought Chesterfield gave it a go second half but the effort levels were much better than Tuesday night so we weathered the storm.
Much more to come from this team I thinkFa cup every time
Swansea , bournemouth or Watford are hardly big time are they?3 points but we are surely the most jeckle and Hyde team in the country at the moment .
65 minutes of garbage then bang a puff of smoke and we tore them apart for the remainder.
I’ll take that every week and looking at the table it’s time to take this promotion push very very seriously !!
Well done ladsFair enough some good points there.
Reckon the fleetwood game will be ok no rain forecast so should be on tomorrow.
3-0 LaticsNot important when you see the shocking pictures of wigan folk without a habitable home tonight.
The roads around the stadium were awful and the river was spilling over so they made the right decision regardless of the pitch state.
good decision wiganWhat about the poor bar stewards in Wigan without a habitable home rain or no rain. Everyone knows where the flood plane is in Wigan, it just happens to contain the ambulance station, the fire station and the police station. Do I feel sorry for Asda, well nope, sort that roundabout out it just needs a couple of drains at the lower level.
The thing that as done me is if we were still in the prem our pitch WOULD have been playable and the game would have gone ahead.[/quote]
The pitch was waterlogged anyway but even had we been in the prem the game would have been cancelled in certain of it.
Three access points to the stadium were flooded they did the right thing.
I remember a game against villa being cancelled after a major snowstorm in December 2010 due to access problems caused by snow.
Plenty of people affected in wigan by these dreadful floods a football match in the third division means nothing in my opinion .Not important when you see the shocking pictures of wigan folk without a habitable home tonight.
The roads around the stadium were awful and the river was spilling over so they made the right decision regardless of the pitch state.
good decision wigan2-0 home win nothing less need to stay in touch and get out of thiis division.
A few tossers who ditched the club when the going got tough may return 11,560 my guess.burton annoyed me from the off with the ridiculous switch round after they won the toss up.
obviously sent some fag end scout to watch us for a few weeks and yes they did a job on us but not playing football.
Worst game this season but we still didn’t deserve to lose the game.
Biggest annoyance the short corner routine that never works.Launch it straight in the box and try an get a flick on but sod this routine it is a joke!
Final point they looked leggy last night so please no army combat courses mid season please.Pedestrian victory against a team of non footballers who came to frustrate and kick us off the park.
They failed miserably and to be honest we never came out of first gear – we never needed to!
We will have bigger tests but this season is starting to take shape now and we are most definitely a contender for promotion.
playing badly but still outclassing the opposition ?
No buts from me I’m afraidGreat win and cranking up the gears now towards a massive push for promotion.
Looking really good ! -
