We’ll make the play offs as an absolute minimum. Our history suggests the lower the league we’re in the more games we win. I can’t see any reason why that wouldn’t continue. We’re financially sound, have promising youth players and still have a strong core group of players. Sure, we need a decent striker or two, but come on, it’s League One, not the Premier League.
At this stage I’d rather go down!
It’s really refreshing to see so many of us really looking forward to next season. I know I am
ZZ Top!! Ha ha! Classic!
Zinedine Zidane! The best player ever to have played the game anywhere.
No excuses from me. Can’t wait!!
I’d go with that pattern Griff. At least we’d get a season of glory on a regular basis. I like the idea of that 4 year cycle! Let’s vote for that
Bad night all round. Poor team selection, lack of desire, lack of quality, lack of atmosphere. Never seen so many simple passes going astray. Just where we left off against Leeds really. Very disappointing.
Roll on Saturday.
The Cup any day
2 more in 501!
I think yes. And if we’d managed to sign Jordan Rhodes, we’d be up by now! A decent striker’s all we’ve been missing since December.
Unfortunately not. I’m from Widnes originally but I live in NLW now, and … I’m a woman! Ha ha!
Good to know there’s some Wigan fans sporting the colours in the town!
How can it be a good thing Jordi won’t be here next season? He’s by far our most influential midfielder. His control of situations is superb, his first touch, his vision, he’s always looking for creative options. I can’t see what’s not to like. Even his work rate’s improved under Uwe. We always look a more balanced team with him in it. He has a knack of winning free kicks in dangerous positions, and is the best free kick taker (Maloney aside) at the club. He’s got a pretty decent goal scoring record too.
There you go, Jordi Gomez, sign him up!
Even with a last minute penalty miss in still happy with a point. I don’t think we really deserved anything today. We looked tired and were outfought in midfield. We should have changed to 3-4-3 earlier and how Jean B wasn’t substituted is beyond me.
Still onwards and upwards. Bring on Leicester!
No offence intended Tez. Talking of Platt Waz, I actually grew up on Ribble Road in the 70s.
