From what I have heard, Whelan bought out Vandanel before they went bust “to save the club shop”. And a week before MiFit was announced as our new kit supplier Whelan bought them out too!
They have just simply took the designs put forward from Vandanel last season and stuck a Mifit badge on them.
Also last season proposed away kit design….

I wasn’t disputing your statement Griff, merely trying to say its a terrible kit and probably design by someone mental, aka his son. Keep up son!

It’s good, like I said. Better than last season and the best thing for me is it’s unique, nobody else has that sort of design. Stripes are old news, the design with gold trim looks very smart in my opinion.Yeah no one has the design because its pap!

Its awful.I got slated for critisising the fact it was inevitable mi-fit wouldnt produce a good kit, and it seems im right.
Looks the same cheap material as vandanel used. And it doesnt look like a Wigan kit.

I will not be buying this, I think the material is the same as the Patrick kit we had.Why no more stripes??? Instead of the club making awful decisions over and over why don’t they design several kits and let the fans decide. I think Birmingham did this this summer and it went down well.

Whelan reminds me of me when i needed the house decorating,………..Why pay some other bugga when you can do it yourself!
He bought out MiFit a few weeks before they were named as our kit maker.
Is it significant that the press release says “Wigan Athletic have today announced that technical sports apparel brand Mifit will supply the Replica kit and training apparel for the new Barclays Premier League season. The deal will initially last two seasons, and be Mifit’s first venture into the replica market.”?It talks about the Replica Kit, training apparel and the replica market. It doesn’t say they will be producing the first team kit.
And no, I can’t think why the two would be separate – but it just struck me as a strange phrasing.
Replica kit is meant as a copy of the 1st team kit.
