111 career appearances 21 goals, I’ve just pissed with excitement
bye bye di can’t score, hello di can’t score clone.
another di santo by the looks of it.Has an easy act to follow if you ask me. He doesn’t have to win many games I’m positive his win percentage will be better than 26% in fact I’d put money on it. All he needs to do is just talk about building the club from the bottom up and the occasional mention of an academy. That will be enough to please the CL football scholars who post on here. So IMO must be an improvement on Bottom 3 Bob so lets get behind the guy and see our beloved team win some football matches.Doesn’t have to win many games :silly: He does in this division,or we will go down again.Winning 10 games in the prem would probably keep you up,but not in this league,it will send you down.
tight fisted git.poyet, better football, got brighton in top 6, but yet again lets do it on the cheap.it doesn’t work,as has been proved by relegation, you get what you pay for.can see a lot of players leaving with this guy coming in.
Were you interviewing with DW,if not how do you know poyet was interviewed
don’t know if he was interviewed and were do I say he was interviewed, but he should have been approached for one.
but was probably overlooked due to compo.Oh yeah, because he’s never done anything for the clubBloody grow up and support your team
I’ve supported this team for over 45 yrs.so think i’m entitled to an opinion.yes Whelan has done more than enough for the club, but come on cheap option yet again.

Where have you got this from? :dry:There are only 7 teams definitely through yet – the other places are made up from teams that have come through the qualifying rounds or been eliminated from the Champions League qualifying round – both of which are a long way off yet.
these are the group stage pots the teams will be placed in if they qualify.
will he decide on a manager who will be given absolute control or just a weak yes man , a puppet on a string ?
my thoughts are the latterwhoever will spend the least money.

The clubs that finish this stage in third or fourth position in their group are eliminated. The 24 teams that qualify are joined with 8 teams from the Champions League who finished at the 3rd position in the CL group.
The draw for the 2nd round takes the following rules into account:
a) Clubs from the same association must not be drawn against each other,
b) The 12 group-winners and the 4 best third-ranked teams in the Champions League group stage are drawn against the 12 group runners-up and the remaining third-ranked teams in the Champions League group stage,
c) The winners and runners-up of the same group cannot be drawn against each other,
d) Group-winners and the 4 best third-ranked in the Champions League group stage play the return leg at home.uefa official pots.pot 1 onleft,2 on right.3 on left bottom,4 on right we are in pot 4.
Martinez has already stated, mcmanaman is better off staying with wigan for at least another season.kone instead of jelavic, don’t think so.i can see alcaraz going there, but he isn’t our player anymore anyway.
DisagreeAuthor accuses Martinez of being naive – how naive is he himself?
Probably seen a couple of matches on MoD and he is the expert on Wigan Athletic. A little more research would not have gone amiss but then again; what’s new?
XXXXX – who are you? Are you Tony Pulis in disguise trying to get Martinez fired so you can introduce your exciting brand of football to the DW?
I don’t think what I,or anyone else says on here will get him the sack. That is up to our beloved owner and I don’t think he will have an account on here to listen to us.
I was just asking your opinions on an article I had read and as I stated,I agree with it especially martinez not having a plan b.We had to score.2,3 and sometimes 4 goals just to get a draw. Some say we went down because of our injuries in defence, but even with a defence we were shipping 60 goals + a season since Martinez arrived. He would say in his interviews, they will learn from these mistakes, but either he or the defence never learned, they made the same mistakes again and again.
I like Martinez’s style of football, but with a plan to mix it up a little if we get into trouble.Prime example ,2 of the goals against Swansea,if we had cleared the ball downfield they wouldn’t have scored.
It is just my opinion on the article and Martinez.sorry for any offence to you good self and others, who don’t agree.
yours,t.p(the track suited one)So it’s up to Whelan now.He has stated he(Whelan),needs a couple of days to see if he can assist in helping Martinez.
taken from sky“We have had a good, constructive talk – nothing about wages it is all about the club and can we move it forward in terms of the training facilities and youth development,” Whelan said.
“It is all tied up in that. He wants to do certain things and I’m hoping I can assist in that but I want a day or two to look at it.
“I don’t want to say yes until I’ve had time to think about it. It will be Monday before I can promise anything.”
Why,don’t you think we deserve,as paying, loyal customers, the honesty as well.
Nonsense. This is a discussion betwen Roberto, his current employer and any potential future employers; decisions which will affect Roberto and his family’s lives.
This isn’t a soap opera, you know. This is real life. Why on earth do you believe that because you pay (cheaply) to watch football games for your entertainment that you suddenly have a right to know all about one of the staff’s plans for the future?
I am not saying I have a right to know about his future.I said,he(whelen),had said that Martinez ,or wigan ath had definitely not been approached by any other club. Then he says, he doesn’t know if Martinez had been approached. He should know as Martinez is still under contract with us.So therefore shouldn’t be approached at all.
Paying for football(cheaply), is relative to how much you earn and what family commitments you have.To some people latics maybe cheap,to others it maybe expensive.
In short, as Garswood says, you have absolutely zero right to be involved/made aware of private discussions about Martinez’s future, or anyone else at the club for that matter. If Whelan chooses to use the media to pressure/cajole Martinez or perhaps put off potential suitors then that’s his business and right. I seriously doubt that any of his public pronouncements are made with you, or even me, but you especially, in mind.
And quite right too. Because it has rag all to do with you. Your job is to support the club, whoever it chooses to put in place as manager. You can sit glued to Sky Sports and wait for the answer this afternoon like the rest of us.
Thanks for making me special.I was simply stating Martinez should not be approached by any club whilst still under contract.Whelan should know if any other club has approached him.He says he doesn’t know.keep calm.
Well, try this… say what you mean in future, rather than something completely different. And believe me, I didn’t make you special – that probably happened naturally, quite a while ago.
Will try better in future.promise.
According to griff,it’s got rag all to do with us.
