At any time 4/6
That was Ryan Taylor’s choice, He didn’t have to go. To my knowledge he was an entirely different transfer to N’Zogbia, just went through around the same time. Ryan Taylor has the ability to get a team around 20 points a season with his set pieces. I was very annoyed he was never given a chance because he offered something totally different than Melchiot and Boyce. Free kicks and corners were exempt. haha in fact we sold him to a team who he only really ever scored against. He was no spectacular player but did offer an alternative.
Still baffles me as to why Newcastle think they are so big, Bigger than us yes but Moses is too good for them surely. With the right training he could be a handy player, I don’t think he has been given chance to show his potential here, Not enough minutes on the field. He has obvious talent but so often his final touch or shot leaves a lot to be desired.
But why would they?
Back on topic, nah the chance was there to maybe reduce it to around 2-0 but as soon as Crouch went you kind of knew it would be backs to the wall time and 4-0 could be too much. Against an Italian side they could probably do it but 4 goals against a Mourinho side is a huge ask, But if anyone can do it Spurs can with the fire power they have.
Is that West Ham bending the rules. Makes a change doesn’t it?
Whether Whelan would authorise the signing of Al Habsi for a figure which has been plucked out of thin air of £3-£5mill (which as Arky points out is a cloud cuckoo figure for Bolton’s 3rd choice keeper) or whether Al Habsi would want to stay at Latics could be debated till the cows come home
BUT
for those who say Whelan wouldn’t spend that sort of money on a keeper. He already has. On Kirkland. Whilst I realise that was back in the days when he was a little looser with the old purse strings, if this season should have taught Whelan owt compared to last season its that a quality keeper is imperative to surviving in this divisionThin air? That is what Owen Coyle said in January, No thin air about it. He has generated a lot of interest and they can more or less name their price. Plus Kirkland was signed for about 2m, he was very cut price. Maybe he does not want to spend over 2m+ on a keeper again because they turn out crap. Martinez has never showed any interest in signing Al-Habsi full time.
Read that this morning, That Al Habsi will be sold in the summer. To be honest if we do stay up i think his value would be around the 3-5m mark and Whelan wont pay that for a keeper i don’t think if the stories are anything to go by whom we have been linked with. Can see Al Habsi going abroad to be honest, Spain or Germany would probably suit him.
I think Keiren Westwood is the favourite for us from Coventry, 1.5m mark i think. But if it was me and i was going to the lower leagues i’d go for Alex Smithies from Huddersfield.
Can’t think of another one :D

Duke, do you know how old Parker and Defoe are.
You go on about the media getting Heskey retired, but you have just copied the media in saying what they have been saying since the summer and naming the same future players. You missed out Henderson, Gibbs, Welbeck, Bostock, Delfouneso, McCechran, Rodwell, Woods, Lansbury, Baxter and G. Hoyte.
Pick your own future stars, not just what the media want to see.
Good, hope he does not meet the criteria. Im sick of potential talent in Latics ranks being wasted because of short sighted decisions. He has plenty enough potential to play for England in the future. Although not with that Italian git in charge.
Nah i would have thought with Savage being out of the league for a couple of seasons and Davies not scared of the odd yellow card or two i would say Davies 92 and Savage 89
