Super Mario says goodbye
Mario Melchiot has said his farewells to Wigan Athletic as he signs for Umm Salal of Qatar. The 33 year old defender has served us well and everybody at Cockney Latic wishes him well.

Nostalgia Day Approaches – for all Latics fans
The Old Pear Tree will be the venue for a Latics’ nostalgia day this Saturday the 29th May 2010, Chris Coffey a former secretary of the Supporters Club has arranged for a whole range of events for the day, which will be popular with both the old and the new Latics fans.

Players given chance to shine
Robert Martinez has shown has offered eleven young professionals new deals to give them a chance to progress to the first team. The gaffer has said in the past that he wants to nurture 18-22 year olds and this move shows his ambition for Wigan Athletic to have a bright young future.
