“If you think Boro travel in such numbers you’re in for a suprise”

You make out like we’ve never played them before!

People in glass houses should not throw stones, especially when your glass house is so small.

You were caning Latics for how many we took to Wembley. The boots on the other foot now (and it’s a very big boot) and its kicking you right in your arse.

        Dear Deluded,

It was announced a couple of weeks ago 8000 ST had been sold.
Boro normally bring a healthy following. Lets say a minimum of 1500.
Even a chubbie jawdee should understand the maths on this one?
        T

And of course every single one of those ST holders will pass up on the chance of going to Wembley for a Tics/Boro game instead? Where will The Egg be that day? Or do you just count every ST holder on the crowd figure regardless of whether they are in attendance? I thought that was just a chubby trick…

And if you think Boro travel in such huge numbers, you are in for a surprise.[/quote]

Jeez you only got 10k tickets, there’s very few joint season ticket holders for both clubs and Latics will have been to Wembley 3 times by thenm taking numbers averaging about 20k. You don’t want us to help you out selling a few of those 10k as well do you?
        Worrajoker

Fair play to you however, you have been spanked all over this board and you still keep getting up and throwing your girly, open handed slaps.

Wigan will sell out don’t worry. I went down at 6am and was at the marquee. When tickets went on sale at 9 (an hour earlier than advertised) they wete upto the bottom turnstiles of the North Stand.

The Leigh crowd was a joke. Rugby fans would rather find an excuse not to go than go. £18 was expensive apparently.

The QPR game was moved in 2011 due to Wembley so I expect the Boro game to be. DW actually wanted to play Friday so he could attend the cup final but QPR refused.

It’s sensational for the town to have a representative at Wembley four times in a year and if both cups are in the cabinet come August 24th then our little town will have achieved anothet milestone. I was proud as punch last Saturday.

I should think they will sell out 10k for their first trip to new Wembley FFS!

Hilarious that people think that is a feat when they used to take over 40000 tut Challinj Cup final and need more tickets and let the last person out of Wigan turnt leets owt

I’m at father in laws and he’s flicking between golf, rugby and football. There can’t be 8k on at Wigan toneet

Is that apart from their victory there in 2011 – y’know – the day you had to change your kick-off against QPR?

No, it’s the day we chose to change our kick-off. There’s a big difference.

We didn’t have to change anything. It was Whelan who said he wanted the kick-off time arranged so as not to clash with the rugby so those in the town who wanted to watch both could do just that. That same thinking will result in a change to the kick off time for the Middlesboro game.

If you adopt a cynical view you could argue that by changing the KO time Whelan will protect himself against any football versus rugby flack that would certainly have come his way had he chosen not to do so.
