He rotated the squad again but his choice of rotation left a lot to be desired, in other words he fucked up and I think he knows he did ! If we should get beat on Saturday, which on paper we shouldn’t, we really will be looking over our shoulders should other results go against us ! Burnley made us look pretty average and if like some have suggested we threw the game then that hardly sends out any war cries to our prospective play-off opponents! Just think what the others would have been thinking had we beat Burnley at their place just after making a mockery out of Readings promotion push and then going on to despatch Blackpool, Birmingham and Blackburn with equal aplomb ! Harry would have been twitching like fuck and McClaren would have been rooting out his umbrella from under the stairs ! It’s all about momentum and timing if you ask me but I aint the gaffer and so let’s see if he knows what he is doing ! We aint done too good with the last couple of relegation possible candidates( One has since gone down) that have come to visit us so lets hope that changes come Saturday !

So let’s get this right. He’s seriously fucked up for not playing a fella who has played 90 minutes in 7 months( (Maloney), a bloke who was injured (Waghorn) and two fellas in Roger and Macmanaman who haven’t been first choice all season. Forgetting the fact that Espinoza has just come back from a hernia op in America and Callum only has 60 minutes in him before looking shattered in practically every game he plays. Aye. Get all four playing 2 full games back to back in a meaningless match that will ensure we finish in exactly the same opposition as we would had we won it! Makes perfect sense.

Rosler recognised things were going badly against Milwall, and made two changes at half time.

Again, he made two changes at half time against Burnley. So he obviously wanted a better performance.

Nobody said he seriously fucked up, just fucked up ! He realised at half-time that some further tinkering had to be done as he hadn’t set the engine running correctly but even then he didn’t quite get the mix right! Fortune over Powell as Waghorn was injured was a faux pas in my view but hey what do I know eh ! I could say that you push the door to open and you would say that you pull it but I don’t really care as I have just given my opinion which is what this forum is for ! Sheeesh !

Why are people getting their knickers in a twist over this?

Rosler selected the wrong team and formation from the players he considered were available to play. He realised this and at half-time changed it. If you listen to his post match comments on the BBC website he more or less admits to this.

Maybe he did make mistakes, but I very much doubt he ever intended throwing his first choice starting eleven on against Burnley when there are two much easier games coming up and the play-offs just over the horizon.

We will know soon enough whether he was right or not or whether we are good enough to go up or not ! Either way I aint arsed as a part of me would rather stay here in the Championship!

Yeah but If he’d picked a better team to start with he wouldn’t have needed to change anything would he.

It’s all very well being fully supportive and whistling a happy tune no matter what but we still need 3 points to ensure our play off position.

I’d sooner we got them sooner rather than later.

Everyone assumes we’ll get them no problem in the next 2 games. However we were poor against Millwall at home and Doncaster away and lost.

If we don’t win on Saturday the pressure will mount.

He needs to play a strong attacking full strength team ie last Fridays in all the games and stop tinkering !!!!!!!!

Sorry if I’m missing the big picture !! ;)

Uwe’s selections didn’t do the job against Milwall or Burnley – but in each case he did try to remedy the situation at half-time. I don’t think he was happy to lose either game.

We did give a good performance and make a lot of chances against Reading. Although we scored three, with a true striker we might have reached double figures.

But we don’t possess a good striker and I don’t know what our best attacking force is. Personally, I’d be inclined to play Fortune or Powell. But you’re right, we do need three points on Saturday.

Even Chelsea are running out of players. Last night – in a Champions League semifinal – they had Aké and Kalas on the bench. Mourinho faces more problems in the second leg. Though Ivanovic can return, Cech and Terry are now injured, and Lampard and Mikel will be suspended. And he wants to rest players in the vital league game at Liverpool.

And now Ramires has been suspended for four league games. The title is falling into Liverpool’s hands.

It didn’t matter that it happened to be Burnley last Monday, his intentions would have been no different should we have played Yeovil instead. He would have rested the same players and made the same team changes. He got the team selection and formation wrong and has all but said so himself. As for the next two games being easier, listening to that same interview Rosler certainly doesn’t believe that to be the case and according to him the statistics support that view.

I’m sure Rosler has made mistakes, but he’s got things right more often than he’s got things wrong.

Automatic promotion was always out of his reach, so his target has been a place in the play-offs. That is now within his grasp.

If he achieves that, he must then prepare a competitive team for the semi-final. He looks in a good position to do that.

To get in the play offs from the position the club was in at the time is a fantastic achievement but there is still a little bit of work to do even though it now looks a shoe in.
Blackpool,Birmingham and Blackburn will all have various reasons to give us a hard game so his preparation for these games is absolutely vital .
