Actually, on Saturday 12 April, although Arsenal won at Wembley, Everton won at Sunderland and went into fourth place in the league above Arsenal.
Arsenal fans looked relieved as they left Wembley, while Everton fans were feeling ecstatic.

I didn’t notice the Everton players celebrating over exuberantly after they had beaten Sunderland ! ;)
24 April 2014 at 6:39 pm #130222They looked happy enough when they scored.
26 April 2014 at 10:19 pm #130280His lucky run came to an end today, Alcaraz cracking goal you couldn’t make it up !
26 April 2014 at 11:34 pm #130293I’m glad there was something to cheer you up. Have you seen the new edition of Mudhutter?
A bad day for Roberto and Uwe. David Moyes enjoyed a peaceful afternoon deadheading the flowering bulbs in his garden.
28 April 2014 at 5:33 pm #130400Something for all our keen Everton followers – you know who you are – to consider.
Everton are at home to Manchester City on Saturday – what should Roberto do?
Win and hope for fourth place – but help Liverpool to the title.
Lose and settle for the Europa League – and help Manchester City to the title.I say go for the win!
Arsenal play Newcastle tonight. Arsenal and Chelsea play next Sunday, and Liverpool on Monday.

He will obviously go all out to win, but I suspect man city will do the same. Europa league place for Everton I’m afraid. BK will not be that chuffed, he was promised champs League by the iPad king and yes, this season.

Remember the date and time of this post so you can refer back to it. B)
Everton will not play champions league Football, next season or the 3 seasons following.
Great article that you posted the link to in your previous post. It says Everton will sign Callum McManaman along with McCarthy and I’m sure he’s still playing for us. I suggest you copy and paste that link and send it to the author Mike Whalley.

What a journey!29 April 2014 at 4:38 am #130424Your predictions for this season have been terrible.
Manchester United to finish in the top four – miles out!
Liverpool to finish eighth – miles out!
Everton to finish fourteenth – miles out!
And there’s another; There is always one team that free falls towards the end of the season in the prem. My money having watched them a few times on telly, is on Mr Steve Bruce’s Hull City.
Hull stand thirteenth with a game in hand – a point will see them safe.
And you say your betting account is well in profit? You must know a lot about horses.
29 April 2014 at 1:40 pm #130427It’s been very entertainig watching Barnsley be regularly more correct, and always more measured, than you sad bitter Bobsessives.
Looks like Top Four Bob has failed again though, after last night’s Arsenal result. The Everton fans seem happy enough with his first season though, which is I suppose is all that really matters.
29 April 2014 at 2:30 pm #130430Quote …He said: “My period at Wigan wasn’t just four years as a manager. It’s been ten years, one way or another. Ten years with a football club is a big part of your career and your life. I just felt that it was the right time, after four very special years, to move on”.
Is it 4 or 10 ? Bob can’t quite decide going off that ! ha ha :cheer:

I know exactly what he was saying. How’s your Spanish?

Not too good but I am pretty confident that if I had been living there for the last 20 years I would be pretty fluent! ;)
29 April 2014 at 3:37 pm #130434Great article that you posted the link to in your previous post. It says Everton will sign Callum McManaman along with McCarthy and I’m sure he’s still playing for us. I suggest you copy and paste that link and send it to the author Mike Whalley. :lol:The general response on here was that McCarthy was not an exceptional player and that Martinez had paid far too much for him.
And yet McCarthy has had a brilliant season. His midfield partnership with Barry has been at the heart of Everton’s success. Everton could easily get their money back – and more – if they sold him on. But I don’t know who would take Fellaini off Manchester United’s hands.
It’s been great to see McManaman steadily recover his form, but overall he has had a disappointing season. So I am not surprised that Martinez hasn’t come back for him. And since he has now bought McGeady, he is probably not looking for another winger.
But McArthur has continued to grow as an influential player. Luckily, for us, he didn’t make the PFA Team of the Season, but I can see Premier League teams taking an interest in him. We should do our best to hold on to him.
