Nearly 15 hundred replies and almost 40,000 views tells me that this is one very popular thread! With hindsight it maybe should have been called ‘Bottom Half Bob’ and let’s face it Everton should not be in the bottom half with the squad that they have, then there was that promise of Champions League football within 3 seasons! His only hope to appease the natives who are growing increasingly restless is for them to win the FA Cup and going off this thread even that doesn’t do the trick with some folk! At the end of the day he hasn’t turned out to be the great manager that DW said he was but then again who listens to his sound bites any road! :cheer: I think RM’s future lies in international management but not sure where?

UNBELIEVABLE!! Does this fella ever blame himself, why is it ALWAYS somebody elses fault! Get a grip Martinept you simply are not good enough, you gradually made Wigan worse year on year and now you are doing the same to our great club. If you win the F.A. Cup yeah great fantastic but that is just 6 games and to be honest look at the teams that have been able to win it over the years. The league is were any manager should be judged and were are on a rapid downward spiral. Martinez out otherwise I really do fear next season, my prediction is bottom 6 by christmas and under massive pressure (if he hasn’t gone before that is). I really hope I’m wrong.

He hasn’t been our manager for three years, and we’ve (well some of us have) moved on.
I’m grateful for the FA Cup. And I’m grateful for the wins against Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City, Everton, Chelsea, Stoke on the last day of season, the battering of Newcastle at the DW, the win at Blackburn, and the amazing run of games to trigger The Great Escape. I’m I’m also grateful that he was a mentor to Caldwell, and has had an indirect influence on how the team currently play.
But without this thread, I wouldn’t dicuss the virtues of Martinez at all.
And no, I’m not going to post on this thread any longer…
