I’ve seen a post on one of the latics Facebook pages that former Swansea owner Huw Jenkins has been shown around the stadium today & is looking at getting back into the game.
Well he won’t need introducing to Grahame Jones; so two and two could make four !
Might not be a bad shout !

Good evening Lozzi, and he has had a wealth of experience taking Swansea from near extinction to the Prem; a bit like a Welsh version of Dave Whelan. Bring it on

100k exclusivity bond paid new owners Frankel & Kalt both are super rich and been on the hunt for an English club for a while
Is this a wind up ?
Would you like to divulge your source ?If it’s legitimate, I bet that the Efl fail them on the fit owners test !!!
20 August 2020 at 7:15 am #188851According to this mornings press American financiers Michael Kalt and Randy Frankel are ready to rescue the club. They are from Partners Path Capital. No mention of paying the exclusivity fee but does state their offer could be accepted in 24 hours. Don’t know anything about them so over to the Wigan sleuths out there.
20 August 2020 at 8:46 am #188852With Williams gone this morning and Robinson on his way the 6 million owed to football creitors must be wiped out now. With money we are owed and solidarity payments with held by the EFL we must be an attractive proposition to potential buyers.
20 August 2020 at 9:07 am #188853If this takeover happens, what is the score regarding the current transfer embargo?
I read conflicting things. Some say we are still limited to free transfers and loans, but with the situation as it is that shouldn’t be that much of a problem. I reckon there will be more out of contract players than ever before, and if they realise they are going to have to lower their wage demands with the salary cap we could get some decent deals. It may even be worth picking up the phone and contacting the likes of Jacobs, Pilkington and Roberts to see if they fancy a game. I don’t think any of them will be picked up by Championship sides. We need at least 10 signings, so if we can pick up a couple of speedy youngsters on loan plus some solid experienced players like the above we may be able to settle things down and prepare for a promotion push in season 21/22.
20 August 2020 at 10:56 am #188854If you google frankel he is worth between 5 to 6 billion

Linky thing, for you to copy and paste.
Must be true, if it’s in the Sun20 August 2020 at 2:00 pm #188857Team of Jones. Kipre. Pearce. Byrne. Massey. Evans. Morsy. Garner. Naismith. WindassLowe etc will surely have enough for League One.
20 August 2020 at 2:51 pm #188858Massive piece of good news at long last both the 25 million and 10 million debts have or will be wiped out which means we never needed to be administration at all. Our debts now are minuscule compared to everybody else.
20 August 2020 at 3:03 pm #188859I’m hoping what I’m reading on here & Facebook is true. I cant take it anymore.
20 August 2020 at 3:31 pm #188860These Chinese lads are the biggest givers in our history. 36 million to the club plays a good few million on players. Must have been some bet as I’m lost.
20 August 2020 at 4:04 pm #188861They could potentially view the club as a bargain if the 5 Mil bid is true ( even with the debt, I thought it would take more).
I don’t know much about Frankel or Kalt; but, Frankel is one of 18 minority owners in the Tampa Bay Rays MLB franchise. Since he’s not really the managing/majority partner, it’s probably not fair to read too much into how the Rays are managed and try to transfer that into another sport/level/country. That said, if he would take Wigan over and manage them like the Rays owners have – it could be a great thing for Wigan. The Rays are a team that consistently has one of the lowest budgets, payroll & revenue in all of baseball. Despite that, they have been playoff contenders and quite successful competing with the bigger clubs over the last 10-15 years (since that ownership group took over). This could be a good fit.
FYI – I moved to the Tampa region @ 5 years ago.
