Is it Stoke who has sent it or Wigan who have only requested that?
Away teams are always entitled to 3,000 tickets at all grounds.
You’re allowed upto 3,000 so surely the club haven’t turned down 1,600 for a game like this?
Message me if anyone has 2 spare please!
Some Wiganer’s are utterly embarrassing and really do look for any reason to blame Martinez.
Against Birmingham we were in control and creating chances, we just needed someone to finish off the chances. So we brought on the player most capable – Sammon.
Against Everton we were not in total control and creating few chances. There would be no point in bringing on Sammon when we had nobody to feed him. Im not a fan of Di Santo but his workrate and ability to drop deeper was what was required in today’s circumstances.
Martinez didn’t get much wrong today, but for 2 silly individual mistakes we would have won comfortably 1-0.
I said walking off today that 40 points would be the minimum we need, and it seems right based on my predictions. Can’t see injured hit Noblot or Sunderland helping us much.

Martinez in paper says he as not even thought about being relegated well i think if the result and results go against us tomorrow he had better start considering it.Martinez out :roll:and if you believe that, then I don’t think you should call anyone deluded.
Us? Score early at home? Seriously?
pay the money, boo when there bad, cheer when they good.
why should the fans have to perform when the palyers dont.
booooooooooooooooooooooYou pay your money because you want to see your team play well.
OK?
So why would you want to dent their confidence even more by booing them, when all it will do is affect their performance in a negative way and make a good result less likely??
Its just plain wrong to boo the players when there is zero benefit in it. The players give their best, it isn’t a lack of effort or commitment as in Gomez’s case, its just that the way he has been taught to play football is one completely different to someone like Lee Cattermole for instance.
Sure he was poor today, but he isn’t a winger so when you can’t beat a player for pace and have just Hugo to aim for in front of you it isn’t going to be easy.
I had no idea how we would break down any Premiership defence today with none of our offensive 4 having any sort of pace, i was hoping our manager had more of a solution. Unfortunately we just look incredibly predictable in everything we do.
Spurs H- Loss (They’re a cracking side)
Chelsea A- Loss
Blackpool A- Loss (possibly a draw, but……)
Sunderland A- Loss (can just see them beating us)
Everton H- Draw.
West Ham H- Draw (they’re a better side than you think)
Stoke A- Loss (I think they’ll have too much on the day)Don’t shoot me down, I’m only telling it as it is.
Football isn’t as obvious as that though. On paper those predictions are sensible but its inevitable the outcome won’t be like that. Just like nobody would have had us down to beat Spurs away or score with 10 men against Arsenal. January is the key month, mainly due to transfers rather than fixtures.
Us win 2 games on the bounce?
Too much Christmas sherry?
All Savage had in retaliation was to say “How many prem games did he play”. Never stopped Mourinho, Wenger or Moyes did it?
Regardless of who we play up front, they are not going to be prolific. Our lone striker has to do too much holding up the ball to allow him to be a poacher.
Scotland, Moreno & Boselli were all prolific goalscorers before they came here yet they scored 1 premier league goal between them.
What good would bringing him or anyone do? We’d play the defensive 4-5-1 spanish style even if Sir Alex or Jose were assistant to Roberto.
We don’t seem to have improved in the past year
We still haven’t won 2 games on the bounce under Martinez
We looked very poor against bottom of the league, who have won just 1 game all season
We have scored the least goals in the league, and have the worst goal difference.
The tactics just don’t work.
I know, moan, moan, moan
Don’t agree with you there. We’ve had 30+ crowds in excess of 20,000, and probably another 50 or more in excess of 18,000.
We are struggling at the moment to get to the 18,000 mark, but I’m sure as performances improve the crowds will steadily start to grow.
A capacity of 25,000 gives scope for growth, whereas an 18,000 capacity would have given little room for growrh and no ambition.
Take no notice of the media jibes, they are clueless anyway.I doubt we are ever going to get much higher than mid table in the league than were we currently are, which will always bring similar crowds give or take 2-3k. That’s not being negative its being realistic purely down to richer owners deciding far too much in this league.
Its so much more inspiring for players, fans & staff to play/watch in a full stadium than it is to numerous empty seats regardless of whether its 15k or 50k. It looks better when your trying to attract players when they see full stands rather than what we currently have. Rather than a 25k stadium, we should have had an 18-20k expandable stadium with the money saved put to one side incase we needed it increasing to 25.
