“doom and gloom statement”
That’s one way of putting it JayT. Loves the attention that fella.
If it comes down to saving the club or the stadium then the club wins every time.
It sounds easy to get sponsors in but with the current climate that will be easier said than done and the stadium may need plenty of work to make it covid safe for fans.
I’m more than happy to let pollard and the rugby pay for all that and let our new owners focus on rebuilding the football club.
The millions they are spending on that is millions they could be spending on the club.
Then again…if they’re rich Bahrainis it might not matter.
He can’t afford the football club. Would cost him half of his wealth just to buy it. He’d be skint in 2 years.
I don’t think he WANTS to buy the stadium either but knows he may have to to protect the rugbys interest.
I’m quite happy to let him have the stadium if we have a similar setup to them in terms of rent.
A broken clock is right twice a day.
Alan Nixon does not care what happens to us. He probably has an article ready to go titled ‘Latics Liquidated’ All he wants is a story and some followers.
He may have posted some truths here and there but he has also posted inaccuracies with bidders and got everyone excited.
As Stu says, if a writer for that particular paper told me the day I would double check. I’m not sure I am using Alan Nixon as my barometer for where this is at.
The Sun?
Come on bullitt.
Brilliant result. Brilliant performance.
Didn’t get every result our way, but that will do for starters.
Thanks for that egg and thanks for your continued work. It can’t be easy I’m sure.
I think we would all love a local money man to come in and buy us, but being a fan of the club and splashing out around £10m plus the few million it will cost to get us back to anything like normal is another thing.
You pretty much said it yourself bullitt. To clarify a few things.
I highly doubt it’s due to moidering.
Or perhaps as JayT said they have something to update us on and so they have.
The point Super Stu is making in his own unique way, is that they can’t update us on every single thing they are doing but when they can update us they will as they have throughout TBH.
No news doesn’t mean they are doing nothing.
Good luck to him. Think he’ll do a cracking job.
If I was the supporters club I’d pack it in and not bother.
They’ve been slagged off from start to finish by our fans and no matter what they do there are people who know better.
They’ve been slagged off for saying things, slagged off for saying nothing, people slag them off when they’ve already covered off what they’re being slagged off for.
If I was them I’d just walk away. TBH I probably would have months ago and left it to the social media experts.
Thought the banners looked good. Nice to show to the players that we are still behind them.
Perhaps we should play crowd noises over the tannoy so the players feel as though there’s a crowd? Maybe that’s why we are strugglimg at home?
I suggest:
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
BLOODY RUBBISH WIGAN
GO BLOODY FORWARDS WIGANThere can’t be too long left before our place next season becomes a worry for the EFL. Something has to give one way or the other.
People asking the SC for information clearly have no idea what an NDA is. If they say even the slightest thing out of place then the only place that 850k will be going will be paying their fine. Easy to criticise from the outside. Rather them than me having this on yheir plate.
I’m with egg, I think if Lang goes down like that we’re appealing for a penalty.
After the way they went down at the slightest of touches throughout the game it’s easy to say it was a dive. He went down easily yes, but I do think it’s a foul.
You’re right Bullitt but they won’t.
They showed the efl ID and that they had the money. That is all they wanted. How they run the club isn’t for the efl to decide, but perhaps it should be.
As the points deduction tribunal basically agreed to with the deduction.
