Our paying rent to the holding company is just a business manoeuvre. Essentially DW owns the club and the stadium as separate entities. Whereas the Warriors are paying rent to DW as their landlord …..or I could be talking bollocks much like many others on here.
Gary was a great bloke. I used to travel home and away with him watching Latics and although our paths crossed less frequently when my daughter started coming and we moved to the family stand he was always warm generous and funny when I did see him. I have great memories of him and my thoughts are with his Family and close friends. RIP Gary a true Gent.

As far as I could see Tyldesely the only reason Tevez was caught by the trailing leg wrapping round him was because he jumped into the challenge two footed.
Lets see now. There is the Emirates,the Reebok,the Brittania,the Walkers stadium,amongst others, all with sponsorship deals for the name of the stadia.
Our own sponsorship deal with JJB has ended and the Chairman is using his own company to “sponsor” ie pay a fee rather than give a loan to us.
Like a previous poster said an egotist could have just named it after himself.
Not to mention that the greater the exposure DW Sports get the more succesful it can be and the more stable our situation can become.
