Not been fishing this weekend, to busy getting lashed in Sunderland.Will probably go to the Ribble on thursday if the level is OK. Problem at this time of the year are dead leaves flowing down. Might have to use a backlead, what do you think?

I believe that a few golf ball sizes of liquidised bread introduced into the swim 10 minutes before running a 6AA balsa through at medium pace using a size 14’s animal semi-barbless hook with punched bread as hookbait will produce some fish tomorrow .
I will start by bunching the shot 14inches above the hook with a no. 6 tell tale shot at mid-point between the bulk and the hook and a single BB directly under the float.
