That’s fair enough Filmoss, I think I understand what you are getting at. Obviously the system isn’t perfect and there will always be some vile people that get away with the most hideous of crimes. However, if we did change the system, what’s to stop you or I getting hung when some low life decides to throw a false accusation at you? The system and no system will ever be perfect. It’s hundreds of years in development and it’s not like there is much of an alternative system.

I am always one of the first people to knock back the Middle England knee jerk bring back hanging crew. Each case is different and I can appreciate how difficult it can be sometimes to bring justice to the fore but on the whole I don’t have much confidence in the system.Some changes do need to be made but hanging is not the answer ![/quote]
Well can we not just beat the shit out of them everyday, and then after 10 years, if it’s found that they didn’t do it after all, at least they weren’t hanged unjustly, and they can just get in with there lives, like Matthew Kelly did.

Was it when Robson and Jerome got to number one then, fuckin travesty that was, I can see why you’d be scared for your safety, if they ever come back your ears might fall off.
It wasn’t when Pablo Escobar was found guilty was it? I remember the public outcry, because they loved him, but also it was fairly obvious that he’d done some very bad things. Sorry for letting the cat out of the bag, but he’s dead now, and his brother, there’s nothing to be afraid of, and if you are attacked, the brilliant British judicial system will make it right for you.
You seem overly bitter about our egg chasing friends SirDave, I can have a guess why, but the classier thing to do would be to leave them to it, by having a pop at them at every opportunity, mainly regarding attendances, you are acting in a way no better than they did towards us when we were a lower league side with low attendances, leave em to it, like you say, the way they’re going and the way the RFL is run, they’ll be semi pro again within 10 years.
I used to play rugby as a youngster, I was quite good and we won various cups and leagues, including the English schools championship, I only finished through injury, and I still know a lot of lads that play at amateur level, tough sport, and they’ve got balls smashing the frig out of each other of a weekend, handshakes and smiles afterwards, I find it refreshing after watching premier league football that will end up being played in slippers and on lush carpet the way it’s going.
We all have our faults, but trying to take the piss out of the best supported rugby league club in the country is poor form really, uncle mo is long gone, let it go man, it’s history, a bit like rugby league.
In court he admitted to using those words, but argued that it wasn’t in the context of being racist, he was asking anton a question “do you think I called you a black c*nt”, it’s clear for all the world that he said those last two words, but it couldn’t be proved beyond doubt in what context.
The FA however will no doubt say that those words have no place during a football match, regardless of context, there are cameras and millions watching, including kids, and that language does the game as a whole no good.
I think he’ll be found guilty of bringing the game into disrepute, they won’t dare label him a racist after the court cleared him, they’d be leaving themselves open to a law suit.For what it’s worth, I think he is an ignorant,self important prick, racist? Probably not, but ignorant and stupid, definately.
