Come on then make a defence case for the football horror show that has been Robbies tenure apart from the usual we are little poor Wigan .

        1. He hasn’t got the money to buy and pay the players he might want

        2. The youth set up and development squad set up were abysmal, something he is keen to address

        3. When we do unearth a gem, they are off as soon as their agent tells them they can get more money

        4. It takes time to change the whole workings of a football club

        5. He is relatively inexperienced and will make mistakes along the way

Now can you at least answer a couple of questions directed at you, because you are excellent at coming out with negative statements and moaning and whining, but seem totally unable to answer a straight question.

Not that I am assuming we will be in the Championship next season, but if so, please let it be a return to unreserved seating. I personally feel that this is the key to a better atmosphere as the people that want to stand and cheer can be together and the miserable bas, I mean other people can all sit and moan elsewhere.

Not on your nelly. I pay good money to sit in my usual seat refusing to sing and sucking on Murray Mints.[/quote]

Well I’m sure they wouldn’t expect you to sit on his nelly, there’ll be plenty spare seats ;)

Mr Brownbill, can you just answer a few things for me, honestly?

Has Bobby got one of the most difficult jobs in football? And if not can you name a few managers that have a more difficult job?

Do you think that even if we offered a player more money than say QPR or Fulham, that they would come to Wigan?

If, next season, Wigan stick with the same philosophy and do well with it, will you still say its wrong to try and instill a style and mentality for the long term?

No I’m sorry,on a financial basis non of us know the exact facts but on the surface we seem to have a steady ship.On a purely footballing basis he has been a train wreck .We have been butchered on too many occasions whilst maintaining this keep ball 1 up strategy. Our build up play has been pedestrian and when we have eventually got the ball in the box no one on the end of it.Remember these are his players his methods so he is responsible.A purely hypothetical question for you .Exactly 12 months from now say we are sitting 3 from the bottom of the championship and his football ideology remains the same ,would you want him out or would you still be happy with him ?

I think that if that was the position next season, and he had the same players he has now, that he would be failing quite badly in what he was trying to do. Whereas at the moment, he is doing what he is expected to do, and battling a relegation, with players and circumstances that don’t give him a fair start. So you can’t compare the two situations like for like, it doesn’t make sense.

Well that’s just how it is, and I think it’s the right way to run the club, survival in the prem is one thing, survival full stop is quite another.
Mr Brownbill, can you not admit, knowing full well the financial constraints, as well as other issues attracting players to sunny Wigan, that Bobby has actually done a remarkable job in keeping us up and in sticking with his philosophy throughout?

No reason to doubt what you’re saying there Mr Brownbill, sounds about right to me. I can see whelan asking for that to be put in, it makes financial sense to the club, but again it’s cost a potential match winner, because the lad said bollocks to that. I know whelan is trying to get the club running on a sensible financial footing, and seeing other clubs going to the wall only justifies his approach, and he’s past pumping money in that he won’t get back. It’s only when other clubs start doing the same that players inflated wage demands will come down, there has to be either rules put in place regarding maximum wages paid out, or more responsible chairmen getting together and saying enoughs enough. I know that people say that it would have to be a worldwide thing, but I really don’t believe that to be the case, they can’t all bugger off abroad for better money, and alot of them aren’t good enough anyway, and thats the point, mediocre players getting superstar wages, and superstar players getting lottery wins for a salary. It’ll come to a head one day, and some clubs will suffer big time and clubs like Wigan will hopefully be at an advantage then, having already run the club the right way anyway.

The club couldn’t grow and survive without these new fans, they are important to the benefit if the club. They are entitled to their opinion, as long as they realise that it doesn’t count for much with the proper fans, some of them just don’t understand that and there lies the problem.

My dad was involved at everton, coaching and scouting for the youth set up, likes of cadamarteri were coming through then. Part of his job was watching local kids league games at the weekends and picking out any potential, a club like everton put a lot into this kind of thing, because it makes financial sense, and the kids are brought through with the everton mentality. That’s what Wigan need to do, and if Bobby is taking his footballing philosophy to that side of things too, then it’s all good in my opinion, it’s got to be easier bringing kids up with a style and mentality, than it is to tell maturer players to completely change theirs. It’ll take time, and there’ll be ups and downs no doubt, but in the words of The special one, you can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs.

After he invented wheel of fortune, he went on to open a bookies on norley, think it was called 456ad bet or something like that, a lot of cheating went on though, with people doctoring their betting slates and stuff.

From what I heard, he was pretty much spot on Vince, just being honest, I lost some respect for him when he’d made up his mind to leave, because he thought he was better than he was, and that WBA was a big step up, he most likely went because they’d pay more money, did a good job overall here though eh?

I find it funny how you take umbrance with just about anything, do you live with mr brown bill, a pair if piss stained old farts, moaning about all manner of things, that’s the image I have of the pair of you, and don’t say I’m wrong, I can imagine what I want.

Back to back wins once in 105 games statistically unquestionable………I’m still waiting for a response as Robbie the winless states “that shows great maturity “.Not some pre-pubescent ramblings of a fingers in the ears and it’ll all be ok Robbie-ite.

I made them pre pubescent so that you and your fellow sad acts could understand it, and who’s robbie? Are you talking about the dude from take that? Maybe he’d do a better job, let me entertain you? Everything changes? Both very apt, but maybe ‘monkey on my back’ is more your style?
In any case, you are, statistically, the most depressing poster on the forum, I came bottom in that calculation, but top in the cleverester, and bestest looking poster, and third in the annoying twat one, Wiganmon came first, second and fourth.

Stats dont lie……….I’m still waiting ..

Statistically, people spend more time waiting than listening to Michael Boltons greatest hits.

Now what does that tell us Mr Brownlife, it tells us nothing we really needed to be reminded of, so what’s the point in statistics really?

Stats may not lie, but they also don’t tell the complete story, stories go like this:

Once upon a time, there was a sad and lonely man, he used to have lots of friends, but over time they realised he was a mithering old twat, so they fired him off sharpish. He wondered what to do with his time, so he started going to theme parks and going on the rides, but that was far too much fun, and statistically, there is more chance if dying on a ride, than all his friends forgiving him and coming round for a drink, so he stopped doing that. Instead he started thinking of all the things that annoyed him, and telling people about them, this was fine at first, he was really contented, until watchdog told him that they weren’t accepting any more if his letters, as 46% of their staff had gone off sick with depression and suicidal thoughts. He just didn’t know what to do, a bit like Roberto Martinez, his hero. So he decided that he would vent his frustrations on an Internet forum, and he really was happy at last, as long as the team kept dropping points, then mr Brownlife had a reason to live, just lately he was getting anxious though, as performances were picking up, and it was only a matter of time before the team absolutely walloped somebody, he prayed and prayed that this wouldn’t happen, because he would look so stupid in front of all his new friends. Eventually the team did start winning some games, unfortunately it wasn’t enough to keep them in the bestest league in the world, and mr Brownlife was proved right, oh how he couldn’t wait to go on the forum and tell everyone what a wise and clever man he was, but a terrible thing had happened, the forum wasnt there anymore, the little team had completely collapsed and gone into administration due to massive overspending on players wages like kevin phillips and poor revenues.
Mr Brownlife went back to his little brown house on brown st and killed himself with a cocktail of paracetamol and humble pie, and everybody else lived happily ever after. The end.
