Looking at the reamining fixtures of the bottom 5 – QPR, Wolves, Blackburn, Bolton and Wigan – I predict that 32/33 will be enough to survive and I am putting £20 on QPR, Wolves & Bburn for the drop.
Q: How P*ssed do you think I am on a scale of 1 – 10?
With a commanding ‘first’ post like that….. on a scale of 1 – 10 how much of a multi are you?
[insert wanky ‘smilie’ here]
………however, without your vision, determination, organisation and damned hard work the event would not even have taken place and there would be no money.
Take a pat on the back yourself chap.
goodpost
Simple enough question really sammy
Was talking to this person because they came into where i work,i asked whats going wrong, they said dont know they all work hard all week and its just not happening,i then said will we be bringing anyone in,they said limited funds only if any at all we have to persuade Mr whelan to give more.Ace…Sammy was only saying what we were all thinking…….and there was no offence meant….I’m sure.
……now then, to the point,
……are you saying there have been no ‘in’ players because there has been no ‘out’ players……. In other words Hugo wasn’t sold…..therefore there are no funds for other players?
Succinct…… nobody knows what goes on in the boardroom (no really…they don’t)
Nite….early start.
Might wait for a more concrete forecast in the morning.
May even make it a more playable surface……..it still has a few drainage problems. :woohoo:
Enjoy the game Mr Lowton…..wish I was there.
micky have you not given thought to telling your mrs that due to severe weather warnings it would be highly irresponsible and dangerous to travel all the way to deepest cheshire.
‘D’……if you know my ‘mrs’ then you should further understand that nothing will come between her and her daughter…….as much as I find her ‘partner’ distasteful.
Hey!…….I like Cheshire….particularly [insert best place here].
Be lucky….

CANT SEE US GETTING NOTHING – 2 0 TO EVERTONAs Mr Standish says………make your mind up please.
too much info micky :(Sorry!
I was actually thinking of someone else……it’s so easy to get confused and mix people up on this board.
Edit: original edited…….
Micky how can we get a bet on when nobody knows any names and bobby’s keeping it under wraps for now ?You mean that SAGA FC are not a real football team and that the ‘jonny on the spot’ reporter from the Obby didn’t get her name……
well I’m gutted……absolutely gutted.
May have a punt elsewhere.
AJ has said no to a Wigan move. So what about Hugo to Spurs, Bassong/Dos Santos on loan ?.What?…… a defender and also an attacking player – in a place conveniently where we will be playing tonight – both unsettled and wanting regular playing time – fitting our needs.
Stop talking sense man……….
(Good shout fella)
Another player HAS been recruited by Martinez, Tribal Football have posted this statement on their website.Negotiations with the selling club, SAGA FC. have been pretty hush, hush until all the paperwork and work permits have been sorted, the medicals and personal terms have apparently been agreed and the announcements will be made later today.
The local Wigan Observer managed to get a photograph of the as yet unnamed player going through their paces pre medical, it is thought that Martinez and everyone at the DW is feeling quite pleased with themselves at pulling off a coup like this.
A club source said “the new signing will inject some much needed pace into the beleaguered back line and hopefully do something about the amount of goals being conceded”
Tribal Football are normally on the ball with their predictions…(much better than the raggy Redtops)
If I was a ‘betting man’, I would be looking to get the best ‘odds’ for this to come off.
Still 10 hours to go……..
With knee’s on par with Hargreaves ,and a goal scoring record in the Prem no better than Rodallega’s is Andy Johnson such a good idea ?.I would suggest Latic’s cash in now on Rodallega and wait till the summer and give Callum McManaman his well earned chance.Fair observation there Bing…..however, if young Callum picked up an injury (God forbid) then we would be a striker (of prem quality/experience) light.
Cash in, yes……..take a punt on AJ, yes. I agree give Callum his chance and start the lad, however, there is nothing wrong with having a bit of experience on the bench to come in an impact roll
Can’t make this game, will be in Cheshire, and no amount of pleading/bargaining with our Maude will work.
Poor, poor planning on my part. However, when I’ve missed games in the past the team normally pulls off an exceptional performance – just to p1ss me off I suppose.
Hope so Micky, and if they do your going to have to organise more trips out with your Maude on match days ;)
Wild horses Mr Blue………………….wild horses.
However, the future was the last thing on my mind at my daughters conception.
Oh!…..your innuendo was not lost on me.
[sarky winky thing here]
My opinion?
I am on the side of getting as much as we can for him before Tuesday (regardless)because:
a). We cannot afford to lose him for nothing in the Summer.
b). There is no b).
However, if anyone within earshot, boo’s him when he next turns out for us will get feckin short shrift from yours truly. Whatever the views of some of the posters here – Hugo has been a great servant to the club; has scored some cracking, and important, goals; is our top scorer in the Premier League and has never upset the ‘Latics Family’ apple-cart.
It is unfortunate the method in which we found out about the news, however, the lad wants to move on, we want some dosh for him, and he needs our support on the field.
I for one will be giving him his customary “Hugo, Hugo, Hugo” chant when I next see him.
If ever anyone has hit the nail head with a hammer on this board in a more direct way than this post I never saw it.
High praise indeed…………………especially from your goodself.
Kindest regards
your Captain
