I’m sure deep down that we all want what is best for Wigan Athletic, even if we all have different ideas about how to achieve that. Let’s hope that whoever turns out to be right, we are all happy in the end.
From my side, special mention goes to those who have been offended when the banter may have got particularly heavy, if not down-right out of hand, at times (I’m thinking specifically, but probably not exclusively, about LMB, Yosser, Mighty Aff, Bickymon, Duke, Zoggy, JamesC, Tea Bag Yed, PKSL and of course Donnolly and Sephton in the yoof section :) ) but just remember that it is just that – banter.
Let’s all resolve not to take it too seriously in the new year.
Up the Tics, I believe is the phrase,
Hear Hear,
Merry Christmas to everyone on here.Up the Tics indeed.
this season i can now think of at least 4 games which we have drawn, yet could have won – notably against sunderland, newcastle, bolton & yesterdays game against stoke. had we have won those games we would have gained an extra 8 points taking our tally to at least 23 points.had we been more prolific & a had a bit more luck in front of goal, this in my opinion would make us ok. therefore, main priority in januray is a prolific goalscorer who is used to playing in the lone striker role. oh! & a replacement for zog when he does the inevitable come the next transfer window.
And if we’d won all the other games that we’ve drawn or lost then we’d be top by a mile. Ifs and buts and near misses count for nothing I’m afraid.
‘He won’t sell the club for a pittence, he’ll look to get as much as he can for it.’
Well he’d better be doing because the way its going he wont have much choice!
At least one team got a worse draw than us.Hull. They got us. :(
I think Hull may see it as a good draw. Certainly a winnable one.
Unless Whelan sacks this guy I’m afraid James, we will be relegated this season. There’s a good chance we will be bottom by christmas, and then………. well, I’ll let you check the stats!
Last month Gomez had a couple of half decent games and everyone on here loved him, said he was the future, best thing since sliced bread. A couple of average performances later and it’s all he’s fault again! Fickle.
Only positive from today. Once and for all proven that this manger hasn’t a clue. People keep saying there are 3 worse teams than us. Who are they?
Wolves, West ham, Birmingham, blackpool and on todays evidence, Blackburn appear worse than us. At least we kept Man Udown to 2 with 9 men.
Next question? [/quote]
You just gotta love that guy, take the blue specs of man for christs sake!Eh well, thats progress for ya……
so moses goal against west brom was not an example of quick counter attacking?Wow! 1 goal all season, stop it, you’re killing me
Quick counter attacking football!!!
 Best I’ve heard in ages :lol:If the club were refusing thousands every week because of the database then they would change the policy. The fact that they have stuck by it suggests that they aren’t.
So Graeme Jones does as he’s told by the fans eh??
Mate eh! Now THATS progress :D
‘but he deserves credit for the progress that has been made this season’
Last season we had 14 points fron the opening 13 games. This season we have 14 points from the opening 13 games. I’d hardly call that progress.
After 14 games we had 17 points, so lets see how much more progress is made next Saturday.
Was that the game when their keeper fluffed the backpass for 1 goal and Wayne Biggins scored a penalty for the other? Remember it well, we were rather fortunate that day.
