Usually stay away from bet sites, just do it on the concourse. But have gone for a £30 bet, but not on 2-0 :D
They are actually a good team to watch, the first team could learn a few things from them.
Similar playing style, but much more fluid and quick when needed.
They have beaten some very good reserve teams as well.
It isn’t rocket science, we beat Spurs and Wolves, therfore we are better than them.
We drew against Toon, Notlob, Mackems and Brum so they are therefore no better than we are.
Just following the logic used by some on here.
Going on results:
Spurs
WolvesPlus
Bolton
Birmingham
Newcastle
SunderlandThat are no better, you boring excuse for a football fan (not going to say Latics)
Don’t remember Martinez ever playing in defence, especially ove rthe last three League games, what position was he? I must be going blind.
All I saw was a very unfit midfield offering little or no support to an all over the place (2nd half) defence and a keeper that really should re-evaluate his career.
Great quote and exactly what us supporters should do.
Let DW take care of the staffing issues, we have absolutely no bearing on it. He won’t sack someone because we are shouting for, all we do is demoralise the team and management.
Support anybody who represents Wigan Athletic, no matter what – it is what supporters do!!!!
Surely we as fans who support them through thick and thin deserve to see our team pitted against the best
Are the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal & Liverpool (in competitive games) not good enough for you?
By playing them it generated a decent crowd of which some kept coming back and became regulars. By polay a top club every now and then it could well get crowds that wouldn’t normally come and watch us in, and heaven forbid could then start to come on a more regular basis if the experience was a good oneIf these people don’t attend when we play Man United at home in the league why would they show up to watch a foreign team in a friendly?[/quote]
Yes they are as stated above.
As it hasn’t happened I can’t comment, I just feel that we get left out when the top teams in Europe (and further afield) play over here – what if nationals of that team that live quite local decide that Wigan could be their team to watch in the UK (clutching at straws Iknow)
Because a pre-season friendly isn’t about providing entertainment for the public – it’s to give players a bit of a warm-up. And that applies to potential opponents too.Why would Real Madrid want to bring their team to Wigan just before the season? They would only bring a team of reserves with a few first team too.
There are a few little tournaments that have good sponsorship attached to them (AC are at the Emirates with Arsenal, Lyon and Celtic) but in the main friendlies aren’t worth the effort.
We only played Man U in the opening game at the JJB which is a bit out of the ordinary, unless you’re counting the Lancashire Cup game years ago when the United Youth team played (fair enough, it included Beckham and Scholes and Neville, but we didn’t know them at the time). Everton too had mainly reserves out.
Be grateful that through the season you will see some of the top teams and players in the world.
Shouldn’t it be though? Surely we as fans who support them through thick and thin deserve to see our team pitted against the best
A tournament once a deceade might be nice

I’ll consider myself told, although I already do

As Chelsea are massively adds on, what’s the best bets to go for. Being an amateur I am keen to learn new areas to win a bit (or lose more).
Seen the ad for betfair has a free £35 bet on it.
Blackpool – keep Welsh out.
In fact tell Cardiff and Swansea to go play in the LoW.
If he’s like most of the rugby lads and lasses I know, they are so deluded in their own little ‘best sport in the World’ dream that there is no talking to them.
None of them can give a straight or factual answer why they hate Latics either. It is ‘hooligan’ this and ‘boring’ that, no fans this and rubgy town that.
One day, probably when we are relegated and haven’t got the limelight anymore, they will realise that it is just jealousy. At least Latics’ fans have just cause to be miffed at the the Cherry and Sh*tes
Ill give it go
Are tictacs the best lb for lb mint?
