£150 including match ticket with Shearings – very good.
Two nights on a coach – not very good.
This is what life is going to be like – seven big matches in three weeks!
And just Monday off before we play City. City also have just one day off after their home match against United.
SAT 14 SEP Leicester City A 3.00pm
THU 19 SEP SV Zulte Waregem A 6.00pm
SUN 22 SEP Ipswich Town H 3.00pm
TUE 24 SEP Manchester City A 7.45pm
SAT 28 SEP Watford A 3.00pm
THU 03 OCT NK Maribor H 8.05pm
SUN 06 OCT Blackburn Rovers H 3.00pmAfter 5 games, Waregem are lying equal third with Club Brugge on 11 points, behind Anderlecht (12 points) and Standard Liege (15 points). They may be beatable, but it won’t be easy.
It’s a long way to Kazan, but Rubin have to make three long trips.
Wigan could go through, but Coyle will have to decide his priorities. I think he’ll go for promotion and field weakened teams in the away legs.
Coaches are likely to go Dover-Calais.
Bruges is 70 miles (an hour and a quarter) from Calais.

There are two clubs in Brugge/Bruges – Club Brugge and Cercle Brugge.
We’ll be at Club Brugge, Jan Breydel Stadium, Brugge Capacity 29,472
Brugge/Bruges is an attractive Flemish city with canals. It’s a little nearer than Brussels.
Some matches may be re-arranged for television.
UEFA; The full group stage fixture list will be available 60 minutes after the draw ceremony. Matches will be on 19 September, 3 and 24 October, 7 and 28 November and 12 December.Perhaps they weren’t sure whether the new Gent stadium would be ready. I think they have to play all their games at the same stadium.
Brussels is a good destination – I’ve been to a European game at Anderlecht too.
Ground Constant Vanden Stock Stadium, Anderlecht, Brussels
Capacity 28,063 (21,845 for European matches)The Regenboogstadion does not meet UEFA’s requirements for hosting UEFA Cup games, so Zulte Waregem’s home games in the 2006-07 competition were played at the home of K.A.A. Gent.
KAA Gent are known as The Buffalos. I’ve visited their old ground, but they’ve moved to a very smart brand new ground, capacity 20,000 seats.
The Ghelamco Arena, also known as Arteveldestadion, is the recently completed new home of KAA Gent. The Ghelamco Arena officially opened on the 17th of July 2013 with a friendly match between Ghent and VfB Stuttgart (2-0).
Looks good!

Zulte Waregem(BEL)Not just one trip to Eastern Europe, but two. That’s rather unkind.
Still, Belgium is pleasant enough and it’s not far to go. But it’s hardly a great adventure.

The usual scapegoat is the referee. Coyle has already wrongly criticised the referee who dismissed McManaman, promising to appeal against the decision. Fortunately, wiser counsel prevailed.I’d no idea this would be so contentious. I’m sorry I said it.
Law 12
An indirect free kick is also awarded to the opposing team if, in the opinion of
the referee, a player:
• plays in a dangerous manner
• impedes the progress of an opponent
• prevents the goalkeeper from releasing the ball from his hands
• commits any other offence, not previously mentioned in Law 12, for which
play is stopped to caution or send off a playerIt’s a foul if a player kicks or attempts to kick an opponent. If a player can’t make a tackle without kicking his opponent, he isn’t entitled to make a tackle.
Holt should be gobbling up Beausejour’s crosses.
Beausejour was the ideal wingback when we played three at the back. And he can give valuable support to Crainey, much more than McClean can.
McClean loves to take his man on, then the next man…then the next man.
