unfortunately for us we are not a big club and do not have the attractions that some wealthier clubs have. We advertise our club as a come and play well and move on type of package.
I think though that was reinforced by Bruce and Jewell.
Hutchings tried and Martinez is doing a better job at supporting the club and actually bigging us up with regards to how we are percieved across the footballing community.
I do think that Martinez, given the time he needs can get us playing some very decent football, and bring in some good players.
i hope he gets the time though. It’s not easy when the fans turn on you, and i think unfairly that, that is starting to happen.
Fulham were struggling under him early doors yet he was left to get on with things.
They only escaped relegation on final days of season.
in my eyes Hodgson has been left alone by chairman and fans to get on with his job.
Each season bringing in new players and getting rid of players he’d been landed with, from past managers.
The team is now his – his signings!! his Team!! they are being judged on what Roy Hodgson has set in place and are doing very well.
That was my point.
his attitude to being asked to come on for final 5 mins against Fulham is more likely the reason the guy isn’t doing more on the field.
His response to Jonesy when asked to go and warm up was “what the
f%*k for there is only 5 mins left”not good enough!!!
get rid of him.
