At the time that goal was disallowed, the Germans were rocking and I honestly believe were there for the taking. It would have been the biggest get out of jail ever seen mind, and would have done nothing to dispel the myth that England were hopeless. It would have simply shown the Germans as the very ordinary team that they are.
That’s what annoyed me about Sunday. We played absolute gash against a team that we could and should have beaten.
I would love to have seen what would have happened if the goal had stood because we were in the ascendency but I strongly disagree with the sentiment that the Germans are a very ordinary team.
They’re about as ordinary, efficient and impregnable as they are at every World Cup they take part in i.e. they are a very, very good side who happened to make England look the very, very poor side they are.
Maybe he had ‘imbeciles’ on his mind when he typed ‘officials’ and came up with a new hybrid word ‘officiles’?
Good luck James ;)
I play in the Bowling Green on Wigan Lane. There’s usually about half a dozen of us with the odd newbie now and then. It’s not the highest of standards but it’s good fun for a few hours.
Bluffers are usually spotted in no time ;)

95% of people who play online lose, that’s a fact, but like I said, part of the price you pay is for the enjoyment you get.
I play live poker too and I win more live than I do online. That’s because 99% of players online are decent players and are tougher to beat. Playing ‘have a go’ players in pubs is like shooting fish in a barrel, some of the hands they play and bet are unbelievable.
As far as bad beats go, there are just as many crazy things happen on a live table as they do online. Anyone who blames bad beats for losing online is usually a poor player.
I don’t imagine there’s that many banjostrings out there and, yes, I am the same one.
Don’t bet on the nags much now, virtually impossible to win. Have a bet on the footie though. Football matches are always three horse races and though the odds are much lower, there’s more chance of getting it right. Not in this World Cup, mind, where results have been all over the place.
Poker’s the game. At least you have some control over how you lose your money ( ) and a good part of the return’s the enjoyment you get out of it ;)
PS England WILL beat Slovenia ;)
Narked doesn’t even begin to describe it.
We’ve played one game and that’s against the strongest opponents in the, albeit, weakest group. We drew and our entire tournament and chances have fallen apart – not quite, I’d say.
There have been many slow starters who have gone on to great things in the World Cup. We drew with ROI, a comparable fixture to USA in 1990, and went on to get cruelly knocked out in the semis.
We might not get that far this time, who knows, but I wouldn’t hang too much on yesterday’s game, where I thought we played quite well anyway against very tidy opposition.
It’s amazing that the same people that can somehow can find positives in the most bleak WAFC results and performances have already thrown in the towel with England after a half decent draw.
I think your getting me and horc mixed up with some else as I never found positives in some of the diabolical performances last season. I think the same applies to horc as well. i am been realistic and I think the quarter finals is are mark. the semi’s would be great. I want England to do well but there is no way we are going to win it. I hope I am wrong but I don’t think I am :)
do you still think we are going to win the world cup after that disgraceful display
You’ll have to point out exactly where I said I thought we’d win the World Cup.
I concur that jungle’s writing style is deliberate. What’s even funnier than his/her incredibly funny and sharp posts is the way he/she is running rings around anyone who attempts to berate him/her.
Keep up the good work jungle ;)
why have the koreans got two teams i think this is a little unfair i know the germans did have two teams ages ago but fifa made them take down the wall and make them into one big team instead of having two will fifa make the koreans take there wall down or have they not got one i do not think fifa would let england put north england and south england on the application form
Ever heard of punctuation? For example, commas, capital letters, apostrophes, maybe the odd full stop.

Ever heard of irony? I might be wrong here, but I think our “Tropical Forest – so good they named him twice” might be a bit brighter than his posting style might suggest
There’s more people than you think not heard of irony on here. 89% of posters at the last count
most of the damage was done on the flag thread James . it did not make for good reading. your mate pretending to be you said that you wanted to give griff a bj .
Has it all been deleted and could you PM me and tell me what it said?.. Banjo just because you have something against me doesn’t mean that I posted it. I quite obviously didn’t, and the mate that did it is Parakeet on here!… You can even ask the admin as the IP adress will be the same as that of his when he posts.
Two outed for the price of one…fantastic!
A pity they’re outed in different ways, eh James?….or should I say ‘sailor’?
He knows, he posted it.
Never mind James, you’re ‘out’ now anyway.
I think James really posted the ‘Willys’ thing but just wants it to look like he’s been hacked.
Too many wine gums, eh James?
