Does anyone know if there is something of significance happening in Manachester the weekend we are at home to Reading i.e. November 24th? I went to book a flight from Cork this morning and noticed the price had jumped to €278. I can get to our previous home game against West Brom for €100 and the next home game against QPR on December 8th for €100 but it was the weekend of the Reading game that suited me more.Ricky Hatton fight at the MEN that night. Not sure if he has many Irish followers though.
I remember i went to a Q&A session with Paul Jewell, back in the day. The topic of Fat Sam and his recently signed 10 year contract at Bolton came up. Jewell commented that it might as well have been a year to year rolling contract as if he was sacked at any point during those years he only got 12 months severance payment, rather than the remainder of the 10 year contract paid up in full.
It’ll be the same in this case.
Would have been an even better gesture if The Wigan Club had given more than £10 of the £30/£40 cost of the shirts to charity.
