I would be for safe standing but it would mean most grounds would have to have major building work done to accomodate terracing. Modern stadia are designed for seats and therefore the steps are too steep to use as standing areas. I doubt it could be adapted without knocking down a whole stand at most grounds. It would be great to bring back the atmosphere standing brings but at what cost to the clubs? Will the powers that be allow it unless they can be sure we dont go back to the dark days.
fans stand at most grounds anyway.

Was worth the wait and what a time to do it!Draw would have sufficed in the end but what a way to finish the season. To finish on 42 points is a big credit for bob and the lads from where we were after christmas.
So chuffed for them and shows that there is lots of team spirit there. Thought Big Dave was gonna have heart attack the way they were dousing him in champagne at the end.
Can see this being an enjoyable summer.

If you like me are lucky enough to be going tomorrow please please please justify you being there and get behind the boys, no moaning about tactics, no moaning because hes got brown shoes, no doom and gloom just blind faith and support.Oh and can someone bring a radio

”Stoke bring in five new faces, with John Carew leading the attack and Matthew Etherington, Jermaine Pennant and Robert Huth among those rested.”who cares bring it on we can do it,Stoke beware we are coming for all three points.
OH YES
Would it be too much to ask that the Dark & Light side join together for 90 minutes & get 100% behind Bobby & the team?
Actually give the team support similar to what they got at Blackpool? Lots of noise (No not moaning) & actually SUPPORT the team? :scared-eek: :scared-eek:Come on we can do it

Can’t help feeling a bit sorry for them. Were drawing 1-1 with three minutes to go which would have kept them up.
Conceded two goals in the last minutes and have been relegated.
they deserve it for robbing Burscough of the manager and staff.
If there’s 10’000 of us we are enough to do our club proud. There’s a big difference between a pie eater and the prawn sandwich brigade!
1000 pieeaters = 10,000 prawn brigade come on lads sing your hearts out.
Why does Ben Watson take our corners ??????????He is supposed to be good at it.
I know. I give up. :angry-banghead:
If anyone deserved being taken of today it was N’Zogbia. He was dreadful.Charles N’Zogbia plays when Charles N’Zogbia wants to play.
Although I think we’d struggle to find someone as good going forwards with the ball, he’s not a team player, and I’m starting to be convinced that it wouldn’t be as much of a wrench to lose him as I thought twelve months ago.
When he has i dont wont to play today moods ,he loses the ball so many times he can become a threat to our defence. Not just singleing this mon out but yet again this mon was shocking and yet so many on here absoultley ruined bramble,i would have bramble 20 times over this mon
I would also have Titus as Caldwell has nothing to offer as a centre half, cant head it cant pass it slower than a carthorse not actually sure what anyone sees in him.
He was relatively cheap and has leadership qualities – which we were lacking. No, he isn’t the greatest, but he wanted to play for the club when Bramble didn’t.
in that case its about time he started playing for the club. Not just singleing this mon out but yet again this mon was shocking and yet so many on here absoultley ruined bramble,i would have bramble 20 times over this monI would also have Titus as Caldwell has nothing to offer as a centre half, cant head it cant pass it slower than a carthorse not actually sure what anyone sees in him.
1-0 to the good then 1-3 down and the decision is made to bring a full back on.Steve Bruce must have wet his self.Sorry but i cant think of any positive to come from that decision, just a toss up i think.
Sad to hear that. It was Allan Brown’s team that got me hooked on Latics back in 1964.Very sad ,i can still remember the window of his shop in standish with the trophies on display.
RIP ALLAN. -
