Manager has the players capable of pushing on after going one up. Another lead squandered by not putting the points to bed against a really poor and lackluster Middlesbrough is down to Cook and not the referee.
In complete and utter control until the free kick for an imaginary foul Donny. They had 2 shots in the whole game. If the ref doesn’t lose control we win the game.
2 shots? Actually 15 to our 11. 5 on target to our magnificent total of 4.Club.
Again just like in midweek and many times over the season a lead is surrendered.
Wouldn’t it be nice to go two or three up and create a cushion to insure against the opposition making a comeback or dire refereeing but as this thread started having attacking midfielders like Massey and Lowe just doesn’t help the cause. He certainly is right on that point especially so after these last two matches.

Club.
Clubs announced it’s a groin injury 2 weeks out. Nothing like taking your time.Groin strain prevents 10 million transfer??
Bollocks.
Two weeks before the communication network are even arsed to speak to supporters. Bollocks.
Better P.R. in our Non League days. They should move their ground to Horwich and they’d be alright.Yip locate to Horwich and gain immunity to punishment.
Bitter.
Yep ref lost us it Sat, what a comical pmsl remark that’s is.
It had nothing to do with:
Starting with 5 at the back,
3 defensive/holding midfielders,
Bringing Moore off leaving Lowe on,
Yep refs fault that. If Cook spent as much time in trying to rectify the sh1te he created as he did arguing with the 4th official we “might” have nicked a point.
But, that’s what sh1t clueless managers do and fans wearing Elton John rose tinted specs, point the finger elsewhere like a naughty child “Its not me its him !!!!”
Rightly or wrongly we started 5 at the back and they still had acres of space in and around our box and Pearson had all the time in the world. I dread to think what that would have looked like with 1 less defender and an extra attacker.
We had plenty of attacking positions but did nothing with them until Joffy and Jacobs came on. Whether that was because they changed the game or because they were 2 up and realised we wouldn’t get 2 if we played all day.
Playing 5 at the back, playing the useless Lowe and any other team selection complaint is not why we failed to string 2 passes together for an hour nor is it why they scored the goals they did. As Mutty says the 2nd goal was poor tracking back from Lowe but they still waltzed through FIVE defenders. Not sure how the blame for that can be thrown at Cooks door but then again with some he gets the blame for storm ciara.
He has plenty of faults though no doubt about that
I guess we are pretty poor at both ends of the field and fairly stagnant in the middle. Definitely poor in the coaching and management but we will have to live with them I’m afraid untill their pay-off bounty has been chipped down a little more.George.
Saying we were supposed to be pushing on from last season so staying up by the skin of our teeth could only be seen as a below expectations season. Add to that we had a reasonable budget to push us on and no major injury crisis like last season. Cook has put us in this position so scraping survival must be despite Cook if he was supposed to be pushing us on.
Problem is going on a decent run and carrying players like Jacobs, Massey. Lowe, Evans and others will not see us go on a decent run. Harsh reality.
Boro were absolutely dire. We have no cutting edge stemming from attacking midfield. If we had we may not have had to worry about the refs decisions or going a goal down. Basically we huffed and puffed but to not much avail.
Watching Cook remunstrating with the officials was embarrasing. The salary of a surgeon but the attitude and manners of a Liverpool Sunday League pub team coach. He was arguing with everone around him before the controversy started. Agree that their man should have gone for bringing down the last man but Dunks foul was also a second bookable offence which was also punished with the goal.
Its not looking too good again really.8987.
Sorry donald, 17 hours too late for this weeks prediction league.
