The style of football. Latics goals have come from around the park rather than from an out and out striker.
‘Who would have thought a club like bloody Bournemouth’
Now that is entirely the attitude most clubs in the 92 have had about Latics since getting into the football league.Hopefully we will be taking three points per game on a regular basis soon. But its better to hope rather than expect.
Really chuffed with that point from The New Latics. With our help we will get out of this unless everyone has become so anti Malky and anti Whelan.
Be great to see the lads turn this round and we can all get behind a great revival. We have overcome greater odds than this before and with players fighting for their shirts and not just going through the motions safety will be there. Come on Latics and come on fans lets stick two fingers up to all those out there smiling at our predicament.
Bring on The Cherries. Cant wait.
Did we miss our super stars today? That result says no!Not going to Ipswich but just cant wait to get behind our team against Bournemouth. We will beat them but fingers crossed for their fans they can go on a cracking little journey like we have.
Good point Fill. I thought Callum was potentially an England player so yip I would put my hands up and admit yip there are some sour grapes and also a bit of trying to work out and make sense of this mad season but also I can not help but think some of the players that have left may have wanted away last summer and this in turn as lead to disharmony in the dressing room.
Good luck to the lad with support up front and facing the goal he may just be the kind of player that could do a great job for us.
Well Horc you couldn’t do much worse than those failures we have shoved out of the door with the mess they have put the club in.
Everyday gets brighter. If we go down it will be down with a fight and we wont get too skint with the massive reduction in the wage bill. A tidy sum has come in too from selling off the failures. How is it that last season Cowie was in the Premier league yet like many others who arrived he turns to ‘Dogshite’?
What have we been doing players?
Maybe with all these players leaving what is left may shine. Can understand your example but footballers salaries just like football finances are in a bubble of their own and have become ridiculous and even at Championship clubs like Latics the 40, 15 and 12k p/a are weekly wages.
Wigan Athletic FC seem to be one of the few clubs who seem to try and keep the finances real. Compare us with Bolton and Blackburn and their ridiculous debt levels.
Good point though. Players are humans like everyone else all be it in their own different world.Malky picked up a fragmented team. A mixture of big time Charlies earning crazy money compared with the journeymen brought in. He is also contending with a board that like it or loathe it have to cut back on wages in preparation for what looks like div 1 football next season as a result of signings, tactics, preparation, formations and the clubs financial policies made before he arrived.
A smaller squad made up of players that may want to play for us and have the guts to roll their sleeves up may keep us up. What we had put us in this mess and that includes Rosler, Maloney, Espinoza, Watson, Forshaw, Tavernier, Riera, McManaman and others.
Anybody in for Taylor and Cowie yet? or is that asking too much?Sad to lose him. Will be valued at four times that straight away. Robbery.
Another step towards a united dressing room. Not done owt for two years. Enjoy your holiday with a massive salary playing for fun in the U.S. Sean and good luck.
Another who didn’t cut it when up for a challenge in the Championship.Pure Jongo. I have a T6 100w and a S3 20w. Bloody great.
Crawley Town here we come. No we will escape the drop.So it will be were going to Barnsley again.
Don’t worry we will get out of this mess. Last day of season. -
