Isn’t there one more parachute payment? Could we have been any worse without them? Seems like we have only brought in journeymen in the last two years. Add to that transfer money and financially we have probably seen a much bigger income then when Whelan took us through the divisions with his own money the first time but that time we had a manager and players who were hungry and really wanted it.
Whelan gave Paul Jewell time and will give Malky time. if only for one thing. Compensation he would have to fork out.
Now the transfer market is another thing. There has been talk on here for weeks linking many players with other clubs and its looking like certain players are not wanted or needed by this Malky bloke. In that case why are all the negotiations not done and new players at the club at the beginning of January. Up to now we have brought a defender in to get himself fit for his new season elsewhere.
The regular contributors on here, with all their differing opinions are very bothered. It isn’t that long ago when everyone thought this was a blip but now it is becoming very serious.
All we can do is rant but no one is listening to us. Why would they? I just wonder how Dave Whelan feels or thinks about what is happening.
Still he could be carrying the Auto Windscreens Trophy (I know its name has changed)around Wembley again next season.With respect Mr Brownbill if we found two new strikers we wouldn’t play them. Delort and Riera for example. I have learned from many on here that two up front is not the modern way. I am beginning to believe them looking at how Latics are progressing again this season.

Doubt he would team up with Dicko. Nobody plays with two up front anymore. Possibly Leicester and Burnley last season. Cant see it catching on though!
You are probably right there Egg. I don’t think I could honestly say I would turn it down myself so that makes me a greedy focker too.
It is greed and nothing but greed. It is not just Stevie though the whole football we see today has been swallowed up with greed forcing up wages to crazy levels right through to non league.I would just love a few of these multi millionaire super players say ‘no I have millionaires in the bank, millions of pounds worth of property so now I am going to put something back and not be tempted into just doing something for even more money’.
Look Hereford United just folded for what these men spend on shithouse roll or for just a fraction of what Skys money is worth to the Championship Play Off winners and the majority of this money just goes right through the clubs to players and their parasitic agents. Or are agents not greedy either?
