Roberts would be great but i think playing the 4 5 1 heskeys the right man for the job.

Imagine those balls to him from Diame, Thomas and the defence with Scharner, Rodders and Nzogbia running on from him i dont think any defence in the league could handle that.

My concern is that the players linked are not goalscorers!

Im with Vat on this one!

How many times do we get forward in a thretening posistion then play the ball backwards instead of a killer pass!

Im not sure he could fit in with our style under Bobby.

I think Big Jase would be better but then again for the money id rather see Kris Boyd and Scott Mcdonald.

Tamudos a no go in my mind, when was the last time a striker came from spain at 32 and adapted to the prem?

What other team would sign a 32 yr old with no prem experience?

Right following a bit of research.

The Badge is the Badge of Wigan Borough otherwise known as the “Ancient and Loyal” which was granted to the Borough in 1922. The Ancient and Loyal doesnt refer to the age of warriors fans it was added to the town charter to thank the area for being staunchly Royalist throughout the Civil war.

When Latics took over they decided on the use of this badge to retain fans from the Wigan Borough (the team that went bust to allow Athletic to come into being) days and to attract fans from accross the area rather than just the town centre. They used this badge at least until 1968 when they became founding members of the Npl. This is were things get hazy. Some people say they kept this badge until we were elected to the league but this was when i was swimming around my dads sack so i cant confirm this.

However as for the Jacket. The people i spoke to remember the directors strutting around in suit jackets and someone a bit younger ponders whether it could of belonged to Dr Maurice Reed who passed away recently however im not sure of the dates for this one.

Why dont you contact the club Daz plus they may be interested in it for the stadium tours!

Im with Griff on this Para. You spout some valid points but some drivel aswell.

For instance in the first season we signed:

                                Pollitt

De zeuww who would be on high wages
Henchoz who would be on high wages
Chimbonda who during the season signed a high contract
                                Scharner
                                Taylor

Kav or was he the year before?
                                Skoko
Thompson who would be on high wages
Ziegler who would be on high wages
Francis who would be on high wages

                                Camara on 35k a week
                                Connolly
                                Mellor

off the top of my head plus we would of had clauses written in of promotion increases to the already established players, and we would of had to sign players that performed to new contracts.

Personally i dont want to see this club go the way of Portsmouth with unsustainable debts so if that means us losing Figgy for 6mil plus and signing a left back, maybe even taking baines on loan to the end of the season seeing as everton have got neill now?

On the point of stadium ownership does anyone know whether its been signed over yet?

As for King none of the papers knew the extent of his criminal past until it was mentioned in court! The place went crazy when they read out his previous convictions. The only thing people knew was the car situation. Maybe we should be checking every player before we sign them but this isnt like a normal job you dont fill in a aplication form or declare your convictions! Kings just a sly piece of work.
