They don’t like it up em Mr Mainwaring! :P The reds are the talk of the town again and normality has been resumed thanks to Brendan Rodgers the best young manager in the Premier League! ;)
At the end of the day Liverpool got the right man for the job and after the 2 previous seasons of finishing behind Everton ( 2pts & 4pts respectively ) Rodgers has successfully turned it around and this season they finished an impressive 12pts clear of their neighbours! Rodgers had previously finished off a job that RM couldn’t complete at Swansea and this time he simply stepped in front of him rolled his sleeves up and did a job that has elevated him to the best manager in the city of Liverpool !
Just because he was in talks with Liverpool which by the way he clearly was doesn’t mean he was offered the job ! Several close links to Liverpool football club claimed that no offer was ever made to RM including Phil Thompson and he took to Twitter to get the facts out there but it was the managing director Ian Ayre who was the one with any real substance re facts who publicly denied Whelan’s false claims that RM had been offered the job!

Caldwell isn’t good enough. In the Prem apart from those last seven games the season we stayed up he wasn’t good enough. He’s been out all season comes back and missed a penalty at Wembley setting the tone for the shoot out. Plays well and then lunges in giving away a penalty. You may disagree but he’s a liability and I’d rather see him punch the floor somewhere else

To be fair I think Derby would have done us had we manged to win last night. Better the imminent changes prior to another season in Championship rather than the Prem! Rebuild and see how we fair next season!

I thought he was solid but then the calamity gene kicked in ! He was caught for initial pace and the rest is history!
As my Scottish mates have always said, Caldwell on the whole is a sound defender but he has that calamity gene that comes to the fore at the worst possible times and so therefore he is shite! In other words he has always been an accident waiting to happen and will never shake off that stigma attached to him ! Every single Scottish friend that I have asked an opinion on Caldwell has replied ” Fuckin pish man ” and I know quite a good few as well ! Let him go !
