I am bumming a lift off a band I know who are playing in Shoreditch the Friday night and stopping at a mates after the gig, I will then make a short tube journey to join the rest Saturday dinnertime. Saturday night will however be spent in a sleeping bag on a hotel floor followed by a 4 hour plus ‘Mega Bus’ ride home (£10) on the Sunday ! Home for 3.30pm !
with Aston villa now looking like their safe, it now look as though it’s between us, the Toon and Norwich. I think Sunderland are safe with Stoke, Saints and Spurs to play, but with Newcastle at QPR and then at home to Arsenal, they look far from safe. Harry will have Rangers playing for their pride, and won’t want lose at home, and way Newcastle are playing lately it don’t look good. Arsenal want play in Champions League next season, so will look for result at home, especially if we surprise them their again. As for Norwich, a win will see them safe, but I only see them getting just a point from West Brom at home and City away. Now, if this scenario was to happen, with the extra game, it’s in our hands KEEP THE FAITH and BELIEVEDo you think that QPR will want Newcastle in the Championship !
Depends which fans they are I guess !
When I was a keeper and the clock was running down like that the forwards would push right up and I would aim a massive kick into one of the opposite corners. Common sense really when you think about it !
When the clock was running down? We’d only been playing ten minutes
Had they run out of replacement brain cells in duty free in that texas airport?
Welcome back, by the way ;)
Jet lag ! I had heard about the calamitous goal but didn’t know if it was their first or second and just assumed from reading this thread that it was indeed their second ! ;) Actually, did I assume or presume ? My mind is still mush ! :S
My mate works where he will be going ( Wymott ) and he said he will be living a life of near luxury ! Who says crime doesn’t pay !

DW keeps going on about this dream he has had about us playing City in the final but he never says what score it was ? Did he wake up after the semi’s and that was it or did we get dicked and he doesn’t like to say ! I know that if we had won in the dream he would have said, or is he saving that little gem of hindsight just in case ? Watch this space !
Research or no research, Allardyce has no right to mouth off about us when his own team are not in Year 1 by any stretch and have been relegated once, BY US, during the 8 years we’ve been maintaining our first ever stay.
I have no argument whatsoever with that, the point I was making is don’t accuse someone of not doing any research, then make a bold statement whilst failing to do the research on that statement themselves.
Jesus Christ ….
LMB condescending towards another poster for not knowing what he is talking about what next?
Filmoss telling people they should be more positive?!?!
Deary me he got something wrong, not everyone feels the need to triple google every statement they make! If you had asked me I would have said we finished above them that season!
Me? Eh? What? When? Where? ! ;)
Austin Texas first thing in the morning !
Thank feck for that! ;)
Have a good trip, mate
I’m off to Turkey end of June ! ha ha ha ! ;)
‘Bit’ much that !
Austin Texas first thing in the morning !
Malta middle of June.Warm and sunny place to lounge about, ale in hand, reflecting on winning the FA Cup, planning for a ninth Prem season and the domination of Europe.
I’ll wake up in a minute
Longy ?
If we do win and contest the charity shield then you will see an embarrassing turn out ! I am willing to stake money on less than 15,000 Wigan fans bothering with that waste of space !
Well, they did lose at West Ham, but that isn’t the end of it.I’m sure that Martinez can motivate them in the League. And I’m sure that the prospect of trips to Swansea and Cardiff is a bigger incentive than a flight to some distant outpost of the former Soviet Union or a trip to Doncaster.
Now we know why Martinez consistently put out weaker teams in the cup competitions. In fact, it wasn’t a full strength team at Everton, but it did turn in a sensational first half performance against an indifferent Everton team.
The cup success has certainly given the fans new heart. But I’m not sure that it has helped the team.
In the league, Martinez has stuck with McManaman and Gomez in the starting eleven, but the team hasn’t been able to reproduce the form that they found in the first half at Everton – with the sole exception of the first half against Newcastle.
McManaman hasn’t lasted a whole league game – and McArthur has come on in every one to try to stabilise the team and try to get something from the game.
Gomez has played reasonably well and can challenge Di Canio for a place.
Alcaraz will be a loss if he is injured – but Martinez has Caldwell and Golobart to choose from. If Boyce drops back into defence, then there will be places for two out of Stam, McManaman, Gomez and Di Canio.
I just hope that they can do enough to keep pace with Villa, then beat them on the final day.
The Cup Final has become a distraction rather than a step to a higher level.
‘Gomez has played reasonably well and can challenge Di Canio for a place.’ ?
Is this in reference to the local fascists club that Paulo is chairman of !
Everton ! Wink wink !
