10578 worked well last time. Stick with a winner.
They idolised a man like John Terry for years. Says it all.And Lampard
What’s Fla?Football Lads Alliance. Make of it what you will. They undoubtedly think their cause is good and they are right. I happen not to agree.
That are but there are horrible fans at every club, including our own!Quite; WAFC has amongst its crowd a FLA group I think. Shame!!
This guys is the very reason VAR should not be introduced to the game. Its all part of the sport and the most famous iffy decisions are still being discussed donkeys years later. Opinions are what makes football and referees are also a massive part of the whole make up. IMHO VAR is going to take away the soul of the sport. Let the man in the middle do his job and if he makes a howler of a cock up so what players and managers also make mistakes but we forgive and forget them.I’m a definate VAR person. The sooner it is brought in the better, too many important decisions are missed and for me most of them are too essential to mess up on.
Anyway, if VAR doesn’t make it despite my great protestations, the alternative is the FA should bring in a new rule and that would be that only the Captain can talk with the ref. The only purpose of players hassling refs is to sway the refs decision. The amount of intimidation is rubbish.
Stick around Bob and get posting a bit more. It will get better the more we post and encourage others to post.I’ll second that. All those in favour say ‘eye’. EI!!
This is a great forum and brings me lotsa laugh out aloud moments, as well as educating me in a fun and FRIENDLY way to all the finer points of football that I simply haven’t a clue about.
To all the good posters …. keep it going – it’s blinkin’ great and who knows there may be a christmas match report …….. ho ho ho
There you go, it’s up in lights for you
Goals Galore ReportWHOAAAA!!!! JayT! What an accolade! Thank you! First CL and Soon I may get a feature in Harpers and Queen.
I think we’ll have to agree to disagree TL. Wilson missed another opportunity actually inside the box after this so not sure it was an obvious scoring opportunity? And by the way, Wilson had his arms held aloft and looking at the ref to emphasis his claim.
Saw championship highlights last night and Bradley Dack did exactly what you don’t like in order to get his man sent off..
I love footy but hate this cheating business, it ruins the game, even more than Gavin Ward did
And i agree with you Jimmy! I’m not sure it was a ‘nailed on’ obvious scoring opportunity. From where i was sitting he would have to have been a lot better footballer than he demonstrated yesterday for it to have been even 80% chance of going in.
Whether he has the ability to have scored is irrelevant – he’d have got the ball in the penalty area and been in a position for an obvious scoring opportunity. Whether that opportunity had fallen to Messi, Wilson or someone who can’t hit a cow’s arse with a banjo doesn’t matter. The key word is opportunity and not that they would have scored
TL – thanks for this. It is great having you on this forum to give us clarity and accuracy. If you sit any where near me you will know I haven’t really got much of a clue, indeed you will have gathered that from my postings here – so thanks for giving me a bit more of a clue. It is helpful.

Their antics, coupled with the ref, meant that I would probably have celebrated a late equaliser more than I would a winner at Bolton I was getting that p***** off.Totally agree. It was very frustrating that they were clearly getting away with so much.
It’s time the FA bring in a rule that says ‘only the Captain can talk with the ref’. All the hassling of the ref is there for only 2 reasons – intimidation and swaying the refs decision.
A red isn’t mandatory no but the players Lostock refers to were not even cautioned. The Bolton player, fair enough as Grigg was going away from goal but Rodwell should have been, and I would imagine would have been had he not already been on a yellow.
The ref yesterday was awful and bought into all the ‘big club’ BS from Frank Lampard’s Derby County.
Was ‘chatting’ to a DCFC guy on the train on the way back. I mentioned to him the ‘dirty’ style of football they played, that it appeared to be an aim to torment Morsy so much they’d get him sent off and that penalty areas seem to be the slippiest part of the pitch.
He kinda went silent, and the conversation stopped.
Surely the penalty box incident was either penalty or a card for diving. So why nowt, other than a brown envelope in the refs shoe.
Lampard was never the cleanest nicest guy on the pitch, was he? (added to that he is a brexiter and Tory – but we shouldn’t hold that against him)!!
Today attendance versus Derby County was – 10768The point scorers today were –
Pie Army 10875 – (106 off) – 5 points
GoalsGalore 10578 (190 off) – 3 points
Blueneon 11041 (274 off) – 1 pointAn updated league table will be published shortly.
***Congratulations to GoalsGalore who broke his duck today and is no longer on 0 points.
Piece of cake this one; walk in the park. Like playing Oxford.
Thanks Horc!
In the state of fairness to zeb if its ok with you horc I wish to change my prediction. It was all done in jest and also out of respect for zeb and his amazing knack in guessing so well. Usual rules state your guess cannot be changed but this is a special case. If you can change it without any inconvenience to yourself I would be grateful. In the event it can be changed my new prediction is 11987. Regards Steve aka Nuneatonlatic.Horc, please can I change my Blackburn nomination to 10777?!!!!!!
I’ll be speaking to Brenda later.
Two posters this week have been a bit naughty and shadowed the prediction of the current league leader Zeb2 on purpose.
I don’t think this kind of predicting is really in the spirit of the game, and it won’t be allowed to happen in the future.
Any prediction in the future will only be allowed if it is at least 5 above or below another posters prediction.
I await feedback from other posters as to whether I bring in the new rule as of this week and change the two offending predictions.Horc, with out a doubt, Rule 25; Christmas Claus, No 1a has to be slipped in. Every one knows the rules and they are there for all to see. No need to check with the 4th official.
It’s a serious business.
It would be like Man City claiming a goal and victory after Ben watson scored.
For me, today, it’s easy. We’ll be ramming them in. Fans and goals.
10578. Nailed on. A ten pointer.
I’ll start the debate off by saying fantastic run and cross from Windass for Maca’s goal.I’m starting with a criticsm. 2 mins and 4 secs isn’t long enough for highlights. And another … Macmamamamaum should start every game. The bench he sits on is warm enough.
Early on, from the reporter who wasn’t there I was sure someone was going to get sent off.Reluctantly I’ll offer some positives … it is great to get a win. Even better for me than anyone else ‘cos its lifted my mood. Some good play I imagine. Wish I was there. Gary Roberts is world class.
Thanks team! Repeat performance next saturday, please.
